PIN Conundrum

I have read every post I could find about adsense PINs and yet my situation seems weird. Hopefully someone can help. My account reached the $50 minimum over 5 weeks ago (Mid June). I have yet to receive a PIN in the mail. I log into my adsense account > my account > payment history and there is no link anywhere that says 'pin information'. There is only text below my earnings for last month that says "Note: We will send payment within approximately 30 days of the end of any calendar month where your account balance exceeds $100." My earnings definitely exceeded the $100 threshold for last month, and gone way beyond that. I have emailed the adsense folks and they have not responded yet. (It's been a couple days). I also have not received a check. (Not that I expected it by now but I figured I'd share all my info on the matter). How should I proceed?

The minimum payout is $100 I believe.

That means the PIN link won't show up until you reach the $100 threshold.

My earnings have exceeded $100. I have reached close to $1000 so that definitely is not the issue.

Contact Adsense support. That's what I'm doing.

I've seen a gazillion threads here about people not getting a PIN. I didn't know what the big deal was, till I read the Adsense help.

I'm just barely over the minimum, but passed $50 five weeks ago.

The AdSense help says that the PIN will be sent first class after your account reaches $50. It also says that you can check "Please enter your PIN link on your Payment History". I've gotten no PIN, and there is no such link, indicating that it hasn't been generated at all.

If they've changed how this is done, they need to update the help.

AdSenseAdvisor, can you say a few words about PINs? It comes up a lot here.

Also, if you registered for Adsense before January 05, it's possible that you might not need a PIN.

To quote those other threads.

1. Log in to your AdSense account at [google.com...]
2. Click the 'My Account' tab
3. Click the 'Payment History' tab
4. Click on the ‘PIN information’ link

There is no 'PIN information' link in MY Payment History tab! Nothing remotely like it.

Also, if you registered for Adsense before January 05, it's possible that you might not need a PIN.

I did register before Jan 05, although I didn't implement till much after, so do I need a PIN or don't I?

I think I've heard this about Jan 05 on this forum before, but there is nothing about it in the Adsense help.

Well, since you registered before Jan 05, it's most likely that you don't need a PIN.

The best way to get an answer would be to email Adsense support while you are logged into your account and they will be able to clarify the situation for you by looking at your account.

I'm just fine if I don't need a PIN. I had no personal attachment to one.

What is magic about Jan 05?

I registered with Adsense in May 2005, after the Jan 05 PIN implementation.

There is no 'PIN information' link anywhere in my payment history tab either. (as Sierra Dad mentioned)

Adsense support hasn't responded to email request for information.

I earned far more than the $100 minimum in the first month alone.

Is there something else that I can do to reach these people?

Adsense Support confirmed I don't need the PIN and won't get the PIN because I had my account approved before Jan 28, 2005.

They need to mention this somewhere in the help, but as long I get checks, I'm ok.

Email is the only way to contact them.

I would suggest making sure that your email isn't getting filtered and then make sure you are waiting a sufficient amount of time for them to process your email question and get back to you.

How long has it been since you have contacted them about this?

Rodney, tonight will be 3 days with no response.

I have received emails from the adsense team in the past with no problems. I am pretty certain their email isn't being filtered out of my in-box.

How many days would you wait before sending another email?

SD, how many days did it take for you to get a response?

I'd probably email them again tomorrow if you haven't heard anything by Noon California time...especially since the other poster reported hearing back from them within a day.

Something may have happened to the mail somewhere along the line.

Im from india And i have got the pin as soon as i reached 50 some of my friends also did recieved after 50. But it takes time for the pin to come. I got excatly after 1 month.

So i feel it takes that much time i know its 5 weeks now for you..

But one important thing that is if it doesnt show anything about pin in ur acc then no need of pin for you..

And as soon as u login to your adsense account on top it will show u a kind of WARNING stating that you have not entered your pin.. Same Warning like when you open a new account in adsense it shows To input ur Tax info and other stuff.. Same place it shows about pin

But if it doesnt show then no need of that pin for you

Lol, if first class means over a month than don't get first class anymore. I JUST received mine after they supposedly sent it out on the 17th of June. I live in Canada BTW, and have never had anything from the U.S. take over 2 weeks.

This turned out to be true in my situation. I just heard from the folks at Adsense and everything is cool. Turns out I do not need a PIN after all.

So to summarize... I found out that although I signed up after Jan 05, my adsense account does not require a PIN. So Jan 05 must be a relative date that doesn't apply to everyone.
