I've had no updates in 3 hours now. Something's stuck somewhere.

It's like it every day now - delay default...or should that be default delay?

My earnings have been down some this weekend as the ads on my most popular page is showing PSA's. The adsense tool says the page has "sensitive" content. Really? For a horoscope page? I have combed it thorughly and unless the word passionate turns the bot off then I don't know what it could be....Scratches head \:-)

Hi,

I am quite new to the Adsense game and I have only a few pages showing Adsense ads so it makes the following easy for me to report.

In the last 30 days or so I used to get a daily CTR of 30-45%. Every day. I have not changed a thing to my pages, the positions of the ads are the same and the number of ads as well. I repeat : I changed nothing. What I have to report is that in the last 4 days my CTR has drastically under 10%. Today so far I am at 0%!

I find that really strange. Is it a coincidence but the drop has begun the same day Google has introduced his new agreement and his new report page layout.
I'm puzzled.

... sorry for the typo in previous message.
What I meant is that the CTR has drastically DROPPED
under 10 and even 5% in hte last 4 days.
Thanks for reading.

Just have to wait til Monday AM for Sunday complete stats. My clicks are up one day and down the next. I just keep building more pages to help my visitors. That's all I can do...

Reports were slow earlier today, now seem to be more up-to-date. Very good day for me, best Sunday in a while.

jduf, does your site get a lot of repeat visitors? They may have clicked when they first saw the ads, but now they are used to seeing them.... That, or some other change in visitor behavior, seems to me a more likely explanation for a change in CTR than the new TOS and reports page!

Everything seems to be very normal today.

I have been working on my site most of the day and have been checking the stats regularly. There have been updated stats everytime I checked.

In addition, traffic, epc, ctr, etc. have been pretty much as expected for a Sunday.

jduf - a ctr of 30-45% is very high. I don't think you can expect such a high ongoing rate unless you operate a very unique niche site. I know that I have never even come remotely close to such a rate even after doing a lot of adsense optimization.

Hi,

Yes probably my low stats reflect a change in the behavior of my visitors lately. I'm in the experimental phase of all this. I know 35-40% CR is very high but I don't have much traffic so I'm not sure I could maintain this level with 10 000 visitors a day.

Thanks for the replies.

Oh man!

I am impressed! Contacted Adsense support about 2 hours ago and already I am showing good ads on that page and my earnings are climbing.

Way to go Adsense....very quick action!

jacques... sometimes when you first include adsense to your site, your regular visitors will click on the ads... but after awhile they become immune to them, and thus your CTR declines. your clicks then come primarily from new visitors.

I know that but,

This is a site that has been up since 1997 and have had adsense on for a few months. Kept account open with the search box for a couple of years because unable to work at it and the page in question has been up with daily changes from day 1.

Feels good to get a problem ironed out!

Ann

Sorry elsewhen, thought you were talking to me.
