Do you have any ideas what site can brings you many visitors and in the same time being very commercial so that best paying ads would be showing?

In other words: What kind of site is best for Adsense?

I guess some people think: "Well it depends...that's internet, you cannot invent anything new"

Reading in forums I see stories like "I earn 1100$ monthly in Adsense by making online Christian portal" :)) which sounds more like a blasphemy :)) to me than a something to boast of ;)...on the other side...there's the worse:"I have 20 000 impressions daily and only 6 clicks"-no comment that guy ;)

My story is that I tryed with several ideas, like site for software downloading, like linux portal, hosting guide and I think my 6-7 hours efforts a day deserve something better then 10$ dayly...now I plan to make
a site with much wallpapers, doing it really hard and sturdy ;) to see if the traffic and the many visitors
are better then "commercial but noone"

Thanks! I hope it's not very long and full posting

Best,

I know they are thousends but....what can I tell you
Just watch the movie:
"The pirates from silicon valley"...in one scene
Steve Jobs says: "Good painters copy, best steal"
(original quote by Picaso)

So,this answers your dumb post ;)

duh! that quote is ironic not literal - that's where the (real) humour lies

Strangely though to use your own parallel - neither Steve Jobs nor Picasso gave up what they were doing after a couple of half-hearted attempts to try something different because it was a little bit too difficult...

yeah...who says I will give up soon

;)

Thanks for the encourangement :)

btw I am still not pretending to be nor Picaso, nor Stevie J.(Steve Jobs-not Steven Gerrard :)..nor Napoleon :)..still far away from Paranoia ;)

Don't plan on making much from ppc advertising doing a wallpaper site. I have a small section on my site offering free wallpaper to get traffic from SERP's. While the incoming traffic has been healthy and a great optimization tool, the ad revenues generated from this section are the lowest of the entire site. For confirmation, go to Overture's bid tool and check out what the keyword bids for wallpaper are running at (the highest bid price is under 20 cents)! I'd wager they are some of the lowest in the industry. Could just be my site but anything with FREE on the page tends to get low paying ads.

zelator777,

So you didn't make enough doing things that lots of other people are doing, so you want to switch to something else that lots of other people are doing?

Or did I miss something?

You may want to consider where you have interest or talent rather than what seems like a fad.

But your mileage may vary.

About the wallpapers maybe you are right.
I also consider another idea:
In the middle of the summer, several days before the rest month-august,it will be good to be done one more site with pictures and information for the hotels, restauraunts and interesting places around the world-namely Touristic portal-with info on prices, and pictures from around the world...but the work would take weeks, not shure also how much would pay "hotels" ads...so it's "mind time" again ;)

Sieera_Dad,

I know it's all about the site itself-information in the site, very good marketing, easy navigation, nice design...but when I started the Linux site for example I've thought "there are many linux fanatic fans(I like it too btw)..and even it's free OS it is enough to show an ad about linux hosting and done",now I am thinking that it's very, very hard to make money from something that is famous because is money-free.
So...I just want to make things by the best possible way:A Site-Commercial and with many visitors, not only one of the both

How about a site about your failed attempts at adsense? No joke, its something you know alot about, it could be interesting, and your visiotrs would no doubt also be looking for ways to boost their income, would be sure to click on the "Heres how to make money with adsense" ads that will appear :)

Good Luck!

MediaSpree,
And what do you say to create a site about funny people wasting their time to hoax in the forums...just like you!...No kidding just place an ad on your site(if you have such)like "Help Forums"
Also...I DIDN'T say I have FAIL attempts on Adsense:
3000 impressions for a new site and almost 300$ in my first month is maybe NOT GOOD,but not a FAIL ATTEMPT.
I just want to make more, not to waste my time in forum jokes.
Hehh..good luck to you too!

;)

Why don't you read a couple months' worth of forum threads? There are tips on how to find good niches, which niches are oversaturated, how to find out what you're likely to get per click for various keywords, and so forth. It's all here, provided you're willing to look for it. In fact, your own question is asked in several different ways by several new people several times a month.

By the way, don't expect anyone to ever come out and say, "You really want to go into [whatever], there's massive demand for it and the price per click is sky-high!" If anyone finds a niche like that, they sit very quietly on it and look like they're thinking pious thoughts about their mother.

You CAN get lots of advice on bad niches. A few good bad niches from a past thread:

florists
smilies
wallpaper
celebrities
anime
anything cheap or free
anything that appeals to people who don't have a lot of money, like kids (the exception is make-money-now and are-you-in-debt ads, but those markets are highly competitive)

Are you passionate about anything? Do you have superior knowledge in any area?

Build a site about something that interests you and the money will come ;)
