Since February, several major improvements from my site

20% by URL Filter
50% by blend in ads
50% First I thought by improved placement, but later resarch with Aditional channels showed that the AdLinks implemented together with my improved placement has been the major reason.

20% Begining June by further improvements
15% Begining July, but I changed nothing at this time.

Jetteroheller,

Yours is going up for no reason this month and so is mine, just sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the ride. I have changes in place but Google hasn't updated the SERPs yet so I know this is just an anomaly of good fortune.

As the immortal Dire Straits said in their infinite wisdom of the ages:

That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and chicks for free

Bill- don't you mean
Money for nothin' and clicks for free? ; )

My stats are getting better as well, but it is probably due to many changes (improvements) I've made..thanks to this site.
Unfortunately, they pay very little in my world of widgets. : (

Today's CTR is in a new higher range

But I did nothing

I just take several times a day a channel statistic from today to spot unusual events.

But the increased CTR seems to be on several of my major sites

AdSense is a game where everything creates big concern

Income down: so much time and money invested for nothing
Income same: Is this all for so much effort
Income up: I hope all the clicks are valid

AdSense always seems to work in waves.

++ Good Targeting -> Better Earnings
-- Bad Targeting -> Crummy Earnings
++ Good Targeting -> Better Earnings
-- Bad Targeting -> Crummy Earnings

Right now, I too am in a "good targeting" high that results in a CTR about 33% higher than the "bad targeting" slump (which, incidentally, was most of June).

What I don't understand is how their so-called smart system can't see the results it's getting right now and then MAINTAIN them, rather than what will inevitably happen, which is some weeks from now I'll start getting all those completely unrelated ads again for another month or two and both clicks and earnings will suffer.

This is one of the reasons I've found it impossible to "tweak" my site for AdSense. Since I get such huge variations doing absolutely nothing, I never know if anything I did had a positive or negative impact.

My CTR is up as well, jumped 3% since July and is staying there. I haven't made changes to the ads. Did add some more content though... hmm. Can't complain :)

Interesting thing happening here.

For example.

I see, let's saty 100 clicks today.

However, the active chanels' total equals about 25-30 When I add the clicks from the channels it is not the same number as the aggregate number of clicks.

Does anyone else experience the same thing?

Can anyone explain why?

Thank you.
