I'm sure 90%+ of you are aware of this extension already, but having just discovered it myself, wow is this thing going to save me a lot of time each day. :)

Downloads your stats after X time and displays them in your broswer ... best extension made to this day.

It displays your AdSense earnings in the status bar of your Firefox browser. You can have it update itself as often as you'd like, the default is every 20 minutes.

You can customize which things to display:
Show Impressions
Show Clicks
Show CTR
Show CPM
Show Earnings

Works similiar to Syssense, which I also just discovered, except it displays the stats right on your browser's statusbar. If you right click on the stats, it loads your account in a new browser tab.

Very very cool.

Just making sure, is this defintly not against TOS?

Google can be funny about automated things, just making sure :)

Yeah, I'm also wondering about this and syssense - does anyone know for sure that Google allows these things?

i have tried both, and while they do work, there is one problem. they collect new data just by "refreshing" which doesn't always provide the latest info.

by logging into the online interface and choosing different dateranges i find that i can get more up-to-date info.

what is needed is one of these tools that automatically chooses a new datarange (then it can parse through the resulting data and display whatever the user has selected to view)

If you really need the LATEST data as soon as Google updates, you simply put, have problems. But for the rest of us, a 10 minute delay works fine :-)

Based on the fact that automated google search tools (eg webposition gold) are banned im guessing that these firefox tools would be frowned upon as well.

Don't use unauthorized computer programs to submit pages, check rankings, etc. Such programs consume computing resources and violate our Terms of Service. Google does not recommend the use of products such as WebPosition Gold™ that send automatic or programmatic queries to Google.

There are many tools similar to this (do NOT post any links to names to them please :) ) and Google seems to tolerate it as long as you don't set it to login more than once every 15 minutes.

but what about logging in manually more often than every fifteen minutes? Of course, it's only for 8-12 hour periods. After all, I'm not obsessed or anything.;)

If you really need the LATEST data as soon as Google updates, you simply put, have problems.

i have lots of sites, and do well with adsense... i monitor the results regularly as a proxy to make sure that everything is going well. in a sense, i am using it as a network monitoring tool. my results are surprisingly predictable (by day of the week), so checking stats isn't really to see how well my sites have done, but rather to make sure that everything is functioning properly.

when an adsense account reaches a certain size, i think that most would agree that regular checking makes sense from a business perspective.
