So I would just drop AdSense for a few days and compare the results. You can also try moving AdSense to a less noticeable location (like bottom of your page) to optimize earnings.
But the problem with CJ is most of the advertisers ( even for sales ) decline our application because of the geographical location ( India). But 50 % of my traffic is from America , Europe and Australia.
If you have a large percentage of them, the novelty of the CJ ads might fade, CTR and revenues might slide. <<
I have a very low percentage of returning visitors. about 5% .
I have dropped all the Adsense ads, and have added CJ to all of the pages.
The ad which i displayed is related to Fax.
One specific CJ ad I put up did awesome on the first day. I had like six sales with good commission. Then, for the remainder of the month, I had only one more sale.
When a new ad shows up it gets more attention. When visitors are use to seeing it, things will probably settled down. Give it at least a month.
so now the question is - how does CJ compare to Adsense? i guess this is probably a trial and error thing depending on your site...
any feedback would be appreciated - anyone here using both? or have any opinion on the matter
btw- just some background on me - ive been a web developer for 10 years - i just got into building some portals with adsense - ive done very well in just a few months and I am shifting my entire focus into this market...
It really depends from site to site. With AdSense each click will result in money, with CJ you can have thousands of clicks and maybe earn only a few dollars.
It really depends on your site, your visitors and the affiliate program you chose. If you have some highly targeted visitors then it will almost always be worth it to use affiliate links. Affiliate links have lots more potential to generate cash than AdSense.
