Unfortunately when I am away I have to check email because of other business commitments and if you are in an Internet Cafe you may as well have a wee look :)
Hope you had a nice holiday. I am hoping to get back to Crete in September for about the 6th or 7th time. Love it!
Bet you thought about doing it every day though, eh?
Mostly when passing a cybercafe to be honest. We did miss the internet in general more than stats checking, as we are so used to looking things up on the spur of the moment.
I stayed off for 6 days back in November during my quintuple bypass. When I finally looked I had 3 record days in a row!
Wow - hope things are OK with you now. The odd thing is that the stats whilst we were away were consistently above average - yesterday (first day of checking) the clicks, epc and earnings dropped. I'm wondering if there is a morale in there somewhere?
If you are getting free traffic, you dont need to worry about checking your adsense stats all the time.
I am a total addict. I check as many as 25 or 30 times a day. Especially when I have launched new pages and added new channels. The greatest thing is to open a beer, watch some tv and find out that I have earned 10 dollars enjoying myself in front of the tv. That's kind of childish isn't it?
speaking of internet access on vacations...do they have internet on cruise ships?
Yes, they have your basic internet cafe type set up. Also, I went on a celebrity cruise last year and they had a set up where you can hook up your laptop in your room. $25 USD per day plus minutes. Extremely slow connection. On cloudy days I couldn't even log in to my email. They did refund most of the money.
The longest I went without checking stats, 11 days.
<added> I should add that the internet lounge did have a high speed conection, just the room hook ups were slow.
On my return to my office over the weekend Adsense will be totally removed from all my sites since my earnings are now down a further 25% from the 20% reduction in the previous couple of weeks.
Goodbye G!
