Just wondering if anyone has received notification of an August check being sent out.

Dothan, Alabama - no check yet...

This thread makes me feel better about that fact. :)

There are plenty of people who haven't received checks yet. The thread on who has/hasn't received checks for August is here:
[webmasterworld.com...]

It will save a lot of duplicate threads/posts if everyone contributes to the same thread [webmasterworld.com] on the topic of AdSense checks :)

Are you guys going to spend this much time every month worrying about what day you get your checks?

Yes.... I still fear that maybe the check drops when the mailman trys to put it in the box and the wind blows it down the street.

Are others still waiting or is it just me?

Have you received a check before cyberprosper? Over $100 etc.

I received last months a couple of days ago, afaik there's a thread on it, some people mention where they are based and it seems international users get their checks a little later.

Basically I'm waiting for next monnths ;)

Yes, I have received checks before. I am afraid I do not seem to have access to the other "have checks come yet" topic in this forum.

I live in the U.S. I think I should have received it by now.

Maybe worth firing over to Google a hint/email saying the check is late.

Of course there is the off chance it got lost in the mail ;o)

Here is the thread:

Depending on where you are located, it could easily be in transit still. I would probably wait another week before panicking, I remember when July's checks were sent, there was quite a variation in when people were receiving them.

Mayor,

I am not happy for you that you are still waiting, but I am happy it is not just me; I am on the East Coast too.

I guess I'll have to camp out by the mailbox for yet another day. At least I can take Sunday off - it is starting to get cold outside, and I would like the chance to take a shower.

>I got the same email yesterday. It is very frustrating because I KNOW we have not clicked on any ads. Google will pay us what they owe us, this I am sure of.

cyberprosper, it seems they have already told you that no cheque will be coming. Take that shower.

I am still holding out hope. The web interface said they sent it out on the 20th. I did not get the fraudulent click email until the 1st of this month. I will shower on Monday evening, even if it is not in the mailbox.

Mayor, was your check relatively large? Mine was. If I were a payment company and were allowed to hold checks until the 30th, it may be worth the extra accrual of interest.

cyberprosper, Google can make up the terms they wish, and you agreed to them when you signed up for AdSense, and that includes not paying out anything if your account is found to be fraudulent. Google actually does pay quite quickly - most ad networks do not pay for 60 to 90 days, and some even longer. Google is the quickest to pay, of the ones I am aware of.

If you are so concerned, just drop a note to AdSense, asking them if you will be getting August's check or not. They are very prompt in their replies, even on the weekend, and you will get that shower much quicker.

Even with a suspended account, their Contact Us should still be accessible to you:
[google.com...]

It won't make a difference about the size of mayor's check, they were all sent out at the same time. And it is against the AdSense terms to discuss it.

Jenstar,

It says they will not pay for fraudulent clicks. They also say they will not pay you if you are in breach of contract. They will also not pay for clicks that the advertiser does not pay Google for.

No where does it say that they can decide to not pay you for clicks that are legitimate.

9. No Guarantee. Google makes no guarantee regarding the level of impressions of or clicks on any Ad, the timing of delivery of such impressions and/or clicks, or the amount of any payment to be made to You under this Agreement.
[google.com...]

That would probably cover it (bold emphasis is mine).

And I am sure the legal team at Google has also written the payment section in the terms in such a way that they can withhold the entire payment if they choose to do so.

Google reserves the right to withhold payment or charge back Your account due to any of the foregoing, any breach of this Agreement by You
[google.com...]

It doesn't state only the fraudulent clicks will be held back. It says they have the right to withhold payment.

Like I said, just drop the AdSense team a note and see what their response is. It doesn't matter how you or I interpret the same terms, it is how the law (and Google) interprets it, so a quick email to Google will give you the answer you need.

Cyberprosper, my web report says payment was sent on September 24.

On the prior month the report said it was sent on August 20. But the check I received had a date of August 27. I received it on September 2. That's 13 days after the "payment sent" date on the web report.

Since last month's check took 13 days from the "payment sent" date to be received, I hope to receive this month's check on or about October 7.

My payment should be for a small amount, just over the minimum for payment. I'm not spending much time or energy on AdSense, nor am I offering them much of my traffic, until I learn if I can trust them. I don't want to be in your shoes wondering if I'm going to get ripped-off for an important payment.
