Please note that I'm not asking how many adsense impressions you serve (which would be against ToS). I'm asking for an estimate how many average unique visitors your site serves in a single ordinary day out of curiousity.

I don't mean to pry and certainly hope anyone who feels uncomfortable sharing this info simply won't do so. I'm just curious about the range here. I've seen lots of great advice here from webmasters of sites large and small, so please share and share alike if you don't mind and don't think the size of your site matters (it's how you use it ;)).

Also, what genre is your site oriented to? (i.e. entertainment reviews, news, community oriented, contests, blogs, etc...).

Obviously do not give out your website name or URL as that's against this forum's rules.

I'll start: contest site with 100k+ daily visitors.

I get 100,000 billion unique visitors every day, OK?...

Do you believe that?...

Why do you ask this? Everybody on this forum can say whatever they like: it's anonymously - nobody can control it.

"Back on topic, anyone got a good argument for how I can convince some of the brand owners that they should really let me run my adsense code on their high-traffic E-Commerce sites?"

About 30K uniques and 80K pageviews a day. A large chunk are not eligible for adsense due to language issues. :(

But there really wouldn't be any point to lying, since no one knows you and no one knows your site(s).

The anonymity of it all actually facilitates honesty, since there's nothing to be gained by misstating facts.

Unless, of course, you like to lie to yourself. As far as I know, this isn't a p*ss*ng contest.

lying on this is like checking off "all the time" on an anonymous sex questionaire. What's the point?

Even if jaxomlotus' 100Ks are bogus, it gets me motivated :)
Currently I am happy to get a regular 100 visitors a day (Health), according to webalizer.

The site in my profile is currently getting 8,000 - 11,000 unique visitors per day, with 75,000 - 120,000 page views a day.

Because much of it has search results, I'm unable to place adsense on any of the search pages, so the income generated from adsense is not much to speak of.

three sites:

main one, education site, 5000 visitors a day, 20,000 page views

second site, history presented as current affairs site, new, 100 visitors a day, 500 pageviews

third one, site I made for my school in Italy, 20 visitors daily, less than 100 pageviews a day.

Here we go :) I'm not ashamed to admit to what my new site gets:

Business Resources Site: 200 uniques per day, 500 page views per day.

What I think is a crucial question, which has been missed here and makes a huge difference, is how long have your sites been online? A new site just published and indexed will never get anywhere near 5k to 10k uniques per day. It is gradually built up over a year or two (unless you have big wallets to pay for links) :)

Dave.

addendum to my post, the site has been active since the middle of march, so roughly 6 months. The first 3-4 months were very slow though. And roughly 20% of my traffic come from search engines. The rest come via links from other websites, and users hitting the site directly (bookmarks, entering it in manually, etc)

My site has been online since January 1, 2002... so almost 2 years.

I started my site with a different domain name the end of April. It has been at it's current domain since June 22.

I offerred a conservative estimate of 100 hits per day because I am guilty (*blush*) of buying traffic from these pay per click services. It started as just an experiment and now I realize it's pointless because it's skewing my logs all to heck. I just hope my estimate continues to be the correct reflection of my site when my traffic once again comes from only "pure" sources.

My main site has been online 4 1/2 years. You gather a lot of links in during that much time.

I was a little shy to post my details earlier but since everyone is doing it.. (cliff, jump?)

Automotive site, started about 6 weeks ago. 400 pages per day by 100 unique visitors. Stats exclude all bots and my own activity :)

This thread is a great confidence booster, when I see guys making 100k page views a day I look at my CPM and start to plan my retirement!
