As Google introduced the new feature ad impressions and page impressions, I wondered about the low ratio between the counts.
I expected more a ratio of 1:2
Exactly like it's now.
I distribute my ads by software automatic dependign of empty space below the menus and in a few cases one additional ad in the contence area.
So there are between 1 and 3 + AdLink on my pages.
Calculating half an hour delay,
the page impression count matches exactly
my own page view statistic with activated javascript.
It could be, that more than 1 ad block on a page was before counted correct or multiple at the page impressions.
It seems, that this problem is fixed now.

This is because the "Page Impressions" has plummeted by a third in the last two days, but the "Ad Unit impressions" (and earnings!) have stayed constant. It makes historical analysis a bit redundant now. Mind you, the revised CTR when viewing by "Page Impressions" is incredibly impressive!
Also makes the CTR and CPMs look much more impressive, although I guess I won't be joining the 20,000,000+ club as quickly as I had hoped! :-)
