I agree with Nick.

This post could be the current FAQ's!

Very well done.

HI woop01

Great post

FAQs are good as long as they are updated & current which can be sometimes hard to do.

Most people like to start a fresh post, even after reading the FAQs they will still go ahead and ask the Questions anyway even if it has been answered in the FAQs.

We all post here, to see if we are alone with our thoughts and problems or are there really others out there in the same boat right.

Anyway thanks for your post woop01 it was interesting to read.

Here is another question for the faq.

How do I stop from placing competitors ads on my website using adsense?

How do I stop from placing competitors ads on my website using adsense?

Create a page detailing how your competitors are liars and cheats whose mendacity is a threat not just to customers and the industry at large, but to free enterprise itself.

That should take care of it.

I assume the person who posted this knows but all you have to do is click on "Advanced Options" from the Adsense control panel and put the URL of your competitor on the list.

Is there going to be a competitor to Adsense any time soon?

Nothing like benchmarking. As soon as Adsense appeared I couldn't understand why Overture had been so caught-with-their-pants-down. Not to mention TF, Fastclick et al.

Unfortunately Overture was assimilated by the Yahoo! collective.

A competitor to Adsense though does make, ... sense.

I'd like to know if you have more than one site, can you open a second account?

They don't want you to open a second account, and I don't think you can unless you hide the fact that you already have an account. Once you are accepted you can put your adsense on any sites you have. I would use the original account for all your sites. Decieving the adsense team could mean being dropped from the program. If you have a good reason for it I would contact adsense.

Great FAQ woop01.

There are a few people here who have two AdSense accounts - it is simply giving Google a good enough reason why you should be allowed more than one ;)

The only problem with putting it on multiple sites is that I'd like to track its performance on a per site basis.

Q: are my stats reflected in realtime?
A: "Reports on impressions and clicks are usually updated every fifteen to thirty minutes. Occasionally there will be a delay of 24 hours or more in the reports you see on the website. We assure you that your clicks and impressions are being tracked even if they do not show up immediately on your reports." - The Google Team

Q: can I open more than one account?
A: "Currently, we are working on a feature to allow you to track different sites through your one account, however, at this time the feature is not available. We would prefer that you maintain one account for your websites and utilize this tracking feature when it becomes available. However, if you prefer to start tracking these sites separately now, you may submit an application for these sites individually through our website. If your additional application is approved you will receive an email with details on how to get code for the new account." - The Google Team
