Hey everyone,

I have been using adsense for about a year and half and it is only now that I am getting my first $100 check. The main reason is because I couldn't really care less about ads and very rarely displayed them. In the past week, I have gotten more involved with website money making and my profits from the day have slightly risen in the past week. My heighest day (yesterday) was $10.47. I am hoping my profits will go up and am aiming to make $50 a day for Google Adsense. If anyone here is willing here to help me with tips, advice, etc. to reach more goal please list them here.

I would really appreciate anyones help.

Thanks

Well, there is a wealth of information right here at this very web site.

I highly doubt anyone is going to hand you information on a silver platter. It's shocking... but you actually have to do a little work and find the information yourself.

Get lots of traffic. Create good content. Put adsense on all pages (that fall within TOS, of course).

That's the only secret I know.

Tell your friends? Are you too lazy to click them yourself?

(kidding of course!)

Silver platter:

0. have a high quality page design and content.

1. put a single, medium sized ad in a high-profile part of the page.

2. integrate the ad well, selecting similar font and border colors. This does not mean "hiding" the ads or "tricking the user into clicking", rather customize the ads so they are a consistent, appealing part of your site.

3. have enough content on each page so that Adsense can select the appropriate ads.

4. Set up a lot of channels to monitor the effectiveness of ads on each page. Eventually you'll see which pages perform well, and which perform poorly. Trial and error never ends.

5. When you find a topic that works well, build out similar pages.

5. Remember $50 is just your starting goal. Once it starts to grow quickly, you'll surpass $50 and never look back (well, not true, you'll get to $75/day then Google will "smart price" your site, you'll go back to $50 and have to start working your way back up).

6. Quality traffic. Build, optimize, build, optimize, build optimize...

Krypton,

The best advice I can give is to create content about something you have interest in, making it interesting to other people, and only have advertising in the back of your mind. (Of course, don't do anything to compromise your advertising potential). Once you have a nice amount of traffic to play with (Varies from genre to genre), you can start buliding your 'empire'. It is much easier this way than trying to squeeze loads of money out of a few people.
Good luck, and send me some money when your rich :)

Thanks for the advice everyone. Basically, I have a well designed website, content, ad placement etc. What I really need is traffic. I've tried affiliation, topsites, links etc but I doesnt seem to work. Do those pay for 1,000 visitor sites work? (i cant afford adwords or overture yet) Thanks.

You will see the 1000 visits in your logs, but if they are human or not is another matter ;)

If your content is good, the visitors will come. W

If I had to start a site to make $50 a day or even $50 a week, I wonder what I'd do. Maybe a widget review site, but there are so many of them. It's so competitive right now that a new site would be quite a challenge.
