Suppose you have a site where you run AdSense. Now you open a AdWords account. Try to run very low budget AdWords ads to drive traffic to your site who may, in return, can visit AdSense ads on your site. Google AdWords minimum spending is $0.05 per click, so, if you start with say, $50 per day, equal to 1000 unique visitor to your site, and suppose each one visit at least one AdSense ads on AVERAGE, and if your site is so targetted in a niche area, where your return is AVERAGE $0.25 per click, so you are making clear $0.2 profit per AdWords click.

And if you see this is really working, (make a test yourself) you can go on increasing budget on AdWords and other PPC network like Overture, enhance network etc. Set the minimum cost per click on AdWords and on other network, go on increasing daily budget...means more traffic everyday to your site and more AdSense income.

If you already have some Google Adsense check that has been encashed, put at least 50% of this money as a buffer or investment for advertising on PPC networks.

This may happen or may not to anyone, as number of unique visitors are depending on many other factors including this PPC network, but this is a very basic and old but simple business idea.

Is it really works? What is your opinion?

I have never tried it but I think that assuming that you will get a 100% CTR is far too optimistic. It might work but it's risky.

I think that using Adwords to drive traffic to Affiliate sites has more potential.

I've used channels to find pages / topics in my site with an EPV > 0.05 and I use that strategy.

But, not surprisingly, these topics are rare, or the corresponding keywords are more expensive than 0,05, or receive only a few visitors.

This is called AdSense Arbitrage. It is a well-known technique, but you have to have pretty good CPM to make it work, for obvious math reasons.

Works well for me with a 40-60% return, depending on which buttons G presses on that day's Entirely Predictable Calculator...

what i dont understand is how these sites with just a paragraph on like a high valued kw like mesothelioma or conference calls that display adsense are allowed? is this considered arbitrage or a practical way to make money with adsense?

also, is it exceptable under ad sense rules?

isn't there a rule that you can't display adsense just for the purpose of showing ads whether or not the content is relevant?

It can work great because Adwords clickers are much more prone to click ads once they get to your site (my experience).

There are 100's if not 1000's of subjects that generate high EPC (>$0.50). My revenue per ad view is typically 1.5x my cost per adword visitor. And considering that a visitor visits x number of pages you can see how it can work.

The only catch is you may have to pay two months of adwords bills before you get the revenue from Adsense.

I was doing this. I saw about a 25% CTR coming off adwords and doubled my spend. Then I dropped adsense and went the CPA route and the average $5 spend netted $28.

When I divide earnings by visitors, I have an average value per visitor.

Even on the best paying channels, buying visitors by AdWords makes no sense, because the best paying channels have natural also the highest paying keywords.

I think each one visit at least one Adsense ads on AVERAGE is not possible.In my site, the click rate of Adsense is lower then 1%.I'll be excited if the click rate is high than 3%.In that case, I'll make $10 a day.

But doing so, I mean buying traffic through AdWords is against AdSense TOS?

Anyway,I use AdWords extensively and my result is very good and I do not want to loose this. I wish I shall increase spending on AdWords at least 5 to 15% each month. Just it is an experiment I am doing since last 4 months.

PageRank for my site is 4. It is a technology related site, And I earn around $3500 on average from AdSense each month.

I have never tried much attention on SEO side of my site, do not have a mailing list or forum for repeated visitor. In fact, i avoid this because I fear, if repeated visitor clicks on AdSense ads multiple times, G may shut down my account, although till today I have never practiced anything against their TOS from the day one.

I wish I could double or tripple the traffic and unique good and targetted visitors to my site, so that I can dream to have at least $10K within next 6 to 8 months.

I have been successful in doing this for six months until last month. I was getting 30% ctr and an average of .50 epc. But last month my epc dropped to .06 and never rebound, probably G thinks I had enough...

I am having the same problem, epc 15 cents drop to 4.6 cents.

I didn't change anything at all.

I'm also running both AdWords and AdSense. I've been using my AdSense revenue to cover my AdWords cost. My daily budget is only $12. My AdSense revenue is almost double that. Unfortunately, the PPC I see is fairly low for the industry my sites service.

I guess, after reading through this thread, does it make sense to do both or ditch AdWords and see a possible increase in AdSense?
