I earned about $100 from Adsense that year (I wasn't that active), but I never received a 1099 from them. Is this typical? Is there a certain threshold you have to reach to receive a 1099?

"Adsense that year" = "Adsense LAST year"

I think the threshold may be $600

sailorjwd is correct, unless this has changed since last year. Businesses are not obligated to send 1099's unless you make at least $600. HOWEVER, that does not mean that you are not still supposed to report it. You should still file a schedule C with $100 on it.

Note that I am not an attorney or an accountant -- don't treat this as legal advice -- figured I better say that just in case ;)
