Adlinks Alphabetically ordered?

Isn't that stupid?

I noticed the adlinks are alphabetically ordered, instead of the best links at the top. I'm only getting links starting with the A (or B). Or should I place more ad units?

Is it counted as one adunit, since you have a limit of three?

I'm a bit confused. Sometimes it's showed alphabetically, and sometimes 'randomly'.

I can't place more ad units. It's allowed to place:
3 x adsense
2 x websearch
1 x adlinks

Correct me if I'm wrong.

I've noticed that the first time you load the page, the ads are in "random" order. After a reload, new ones appear in ABC order. My guess is that Google tries to serve the best paying ones first, but since they might not want to show the same ads in such a short time to the same user, they have to select from a lower paying pool, and there might be so many ads that you can only see the first 4 or 5 of them.
