• The option to change the color of the border surrounding the ad's... (So you can make it match up with the color scheme of your site.) Currently you can only use blue..... (Or it might also be nice to have the ability to remove the border completely.)
• The ability to set the number of ad's you would like to show in the ad's. I'd like to use the skyscraper ad and only have 2 ad's show at a time as my site cannot fit 4.
• The option to remove the "Ads by Google" link if you would like to or not.
Just seems there aren't enough customization options to me...
Feel free to add your suggestions to the list.
Maybe GoogleGuy and company will take notice. :)
Ad Effectiveness
Ability to see stats click stats or atleast some sort of ability where publishers can see what type of ads are producing more results.
Ad Blocking
1) Ability to block certain IP. I mean ads won't be shown to those IP and clicks won't be counted from those IP. This would help a lot, as publisher can block their own IP and hence while they are working on site, their clicks and adviews won't count.
2) Ability to block ads related to certain content or topic.
Zones
Publishers ability to setup zones, and view ad stats for those zones. For example, one sites deals with 8 main topics, and if publisher wants, they can have 8 zones for that site and view stats for them individually. This would help them see the performance of their site/s.

There are good reasons i think for google wanting to have eactly the same presentation on every adsense site, relating to brand recognition. "ads by googls" of course is a nice text ad for adwords for google on every adsense page. All these things means google can offer better returns per click to publishers. Many of the changes being suggested in this and other threads reduce the value to adwords advertisers and google and also increase admin time for google an server load.
At the moment i guess im happy with the trade-off. Perhaps some "options" of display could be offered in the future, but may attract less fee per click to publishers as a compromise.
II'd love to see the roi and av click fee for each page for example, but im not sure if would want to trade off more than 2% of commission for that.
Im quite happy with the adwords ad. heh it means they can pay better commissions im all for it.
How about this: the ability to help Google tune the relevancy of the ads. Ok, so that won't EVER happen. But here's a scenario anyhow: google crawls the page and displays a list of possible match queries. you get to pick one or weight them based on relevance. Of course, no one would ever dream of weighting them based on CPC for that term!

I don't know the TOS, but this is possible by playing with the code they give you.
google_ad_width = 120;
google_ad_height = 600;
google_ad_format = '120x600_as';
If you change the google_ad_height = 300; that should show 2 ads, etc.
(Note though, you should check the TOS as this is probably against it).
Give AdSense advertisers some telephone support like AdWords has...... Please!
plus just to reiterate:
- reporting by domain at least
- at least some negative keyword keyword control at the page level to eliminate some of the REALLY off topic ads that occasionally show up.
- Keyword banning based on a single page, directory, or site
- Reporting based on a single page, directory, or site
- Reporting based on ad format (skyscraper/banner)
- Option to transfer earnings into Adwords account, at any time.
- Payment by direct deposit
And new:
- Ability to view Mediapartners-Google's cache for our pages
