How can you tell?

I would be worried at least a little. Have you made sure you aren't seeing a cached copy of the page.

approved here also, but no "check date: #*$!x".
Last month I think people reported getting their check before the check dates appeared.

I love Google and Adsense. But I do worry about the program a little.

Last month, I noticed clear click fraud in which I was the beneficiary. No idea who did it but it was clearly someone clicking like mad on our site. I reported it and expected to lose hundreds of dollars as a result. But my approved amount is the same as that was previously calculated.

It's not that I mind getting extra money but there was no doubt about this click fraud - for three days, the numbers of clicks were dozens of times the average for that channel. It seems like I just, inadvertantly, stole hundreds of dollars from some rightfully upset Adwords advertiser. Not sure what to make of this.

Do new accounts take longer to approve the first time?

Mine shows "earnings", which when clicked upon brings up another box. That box earlier this month had a line "adjustments". That is now gone, and the total is the subtotal from content...

Note that last month I and others received their checks before ever seeing a check number in the payment screen.

I still haven't been approved, South, Florida is my location....Also, is it just me, or is this site really slow?

Another question, this is my first month on adsense, do new users get approved at a different time?

Does everyone generally get approved at the same time? Or is it different?

Any answers would be very helpful.

What happens if I don't get approved? What does that mean?

I was new in January also - and not approved yet - and for no apparent reason. I have had stickmails from folks who were also new implying they were approved.

I emailed google this morning, but I am sure they are swamped at this time of the month. I have heard nothing back from them. I have been told by others here - and elsewhere that most users are approved at the same time. I find this hard to really believe though and clearly not everyone posts when their payments are approved!

I would not be surprised if they spend extra time on new accounts with substantial balances, however, perhaps that is what the issue is. Without revealing any info, are you waiting for enough to buy a hamburger or a LOT of hamburgers? :) :)

vectorious, check the thread on new control panel layout. I think we had the new one yesterday, which no longer says "approved".

FYI, spoke to Google - some people received the new user interface 1-2 days ago. For them, the "Approved" message would never have shown up and if they happened to be new in January, they might be confused (from the discussion here) into thinking something was wrong.

Cheers,

Me too, Me too! And I just made an interesting new discovery... Apparently UPS club checks are printed FIRST! Previously check numbers were evenly spaced about 45K apart. This month is my first UPS chk and it's only 4K from the last! Just another of those interesting tidbits that those of us with nothing better to do, like to know about G :-).
