This may be an impossible question to answer, but is adwords worth putting up on a site that gets about 26,000 unique visitors a month, (vertical is import automotive).
Can you broadly guesstimate what the return might be, low and high?
And yes, your broad generalized maybe completely off guesstimate will still help me, since I have no reference for potential at all as of yet.
Me, I'd put Adsense on there and see how it went.
If what you get isn't worth it to you after tweaking ad locations and formats. it's just as easy to remove.

26000 visitors per month.
Frankly, depending on the topic, the kind of advertisers, the amount of bidding and competitiveness etc, it can be anywhere from 50 dollars upwards per month I guess. I have never heard of a site with 26000 visitors making less than that.
On the other hand, that figure is hardly helpful to a newbie - I reasearched for a month before I got into Adsense, but there just is no way you can predict it.
I finally had to just add it to my site and see the results to take a decision.
The results then again will vary a lot depending on how well you integrate the ad into your site, its positioning, colors etc.
Try it, maybe on a popular internal page of your site - thats the only way to know.
