I have a question of my own -not sure whether it was previously covered.
The background: I have been with adsense for few years (earning few dollars - not a big timer) - and I have added the "custom channels" when they introduced it -and also added "URL channels" recently.
I have created a custom-channel "abc" abc being being my domain name - later I created url-channel "www.abc.com" - and I didn't delete custom-channel "abc"
When I was recently running a report I noticed something very odd - the custom-channel "abc" shows great many clicks - (lesser pageviews) than url-channel "www.abc.com" - does it mean that the url-channel "www.abc.com" reports only the "homepage" views/clicks of www.abc.com?
My previous assumption was that url-channel should report all pageviews/clicks under that particular URL - but it doesn't seem so - instead it looks like it just gives me the "homepage" views/clicks of the url-channel - and the custom channel is the actual one that does a better reporting - does anyone have similar experience?
I hope I am clear on the above question - please let me know your thoughts.
Manage URL Channels
Examples: www.example.com
www.example.com/widgets
www.example.com/index.html
track all pages on a domain
track all pages below a specific directory
track a specific page.

What about url channels for both [ex*ample.com...] and also [ex*ample.com...] with-without the www?
Would the results be different? I successfully created both channels, oddly the channel entry submit form did not say it was a duplicate as expected?
Also, what about any difference between www.example.com and www.example.com/ with-without the trailing slash?
Opinions on these would be appreciated.
P.S. Just a comment that it's most unfortunate Googleguy rarely addresses these issues which come up all the time in the forums. Why is so much of the program shrouded in mystery?
