The countdown to Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the holiday spending season has begun.

My US traffic halved since 11 of October, so my revenue is -50%.

Not a happy camper.

@Mentat

This has been a weird month. While my traffic is up, the revenue has not increased accordingly.

I have good days and below average days.

I’m located in the USA and focus on USA traffic.

We have seen a huge pick up since Friday - feels like Q4 (finally). US focused mostly, as well.

^ what i'm seeing as well. October started really slow - slower than last year - but now looks like Q4 numbers the last few days.

I wonder if we'll see an earlier ad spend this year than normal due to the California supply chain issues - more people might be compelled to Xmas shop early. Our household did.

The shift away from 2nd price should increase advertisers CPC, but as the months pass, and they slowly realize their ROAS has dropped, then they'll decrease bids. It can take months for the average advertiser to realize that some Display campaigns have drifted off goal. And today, with more and more campaign types (like combining Discovery, Shopping, YouTube, Display, and Search) being combined into the same campaign, and with Q4 upon us shining the numbers upwards (from Shopping and Search), I'd look for Q4 to be fine, suggest you test again once we're halfway into Q1.

Be ready for lower than expected holiday season revenue. Global supply-chain problems are most likely going to result in a decrease in advertising spending. We are starting to see a little of that in the USA. Plan ahead.

October has been one of our best months in years, even with supply chain issues. We have started to build a moat that extends beyond programmatic advertising, to take control of our future.

@adtech2

Yes, October has been a great month. My best month, depending on clawbacks, since 2017. However, I am seeing problems. We will probably really see the supply chain affect come January.
