When checking my detailed stats, I see displays and clicks on Anchor and vignette ads... on desktop platforms. However, I thought that these ads were only showing on mobile devices.
Thank you,

Hi JorgeV+, Yes, I've been getting these too. Started more or less last month too.

Vignette ads will start appearing on wider screens, such as desktop, after November 3rd [support.google.com...]
This was also mentioned by NickMNS in the October Adsense topic.
Personally, I would have preferred sticky ads.

Hi JorgeV+ - thanks for the heads-up on this. We must have been guinea pigs when we first noticed it.
My site has majority mobile traffic so I don't envisage seeing much difference but will be interesting to see.

Hello,
We must have been guinea pigs when we first noticed it.
Indeed.
At first I was skeptical about vignette ads , and worried they would be way too invasive, and upset visitors. However, when I look a the stats, everyday, only an extremely low number of vignettes are shown, less than 5% and, and 80% of the times they are clicked. So, I guess that the system is extremely well targeting the interest of people, and therefor, this should not cause annoyance.
Now, 75% of my earning comes form anchor and vignette ads. So I wonder if I should simply get ride of all other ads slots on my pages. (I only have 2 ad slots). I need to experiment. This can be a good way to go for the future.

Wow, impressive. I see their CPMs are very good - as far as I know we still get revenue if they're only seen and not clicked.
Myself and my colleagues have already been getting some on desktop. The only trouble is we experienced a big, sudden clawback today - the day the ads appeared. Haven't had daily clawbacks recently, spotted three vignettes between us on desktops and next thing clawback.
I'm easing my mind by believing it's because they're experimenting with them still seeings as they officially launch after 3 November.
