Last days of September 2018 were not very good, now let's see what October (Q4) will bring to the table. For me, September 018 was a good month.

@KingZen If I'm not wrong, Taboola has a agreement policy that asks publishers to not ditch them for xx months?

Much lower CPC in last days... is this only me?

I'm seeing lower CPC too since end of last week. But I expect that with end-of-summer and cooler weather in my industry.
Doesn't mean I like it... : /

This weekend was goodish for me. Things are getting "there", but very slow.

Strange, whenever you post "good" earnings, mine are usually well below average, whenever you post "terrible" earnings, mine are much higher than average!

When I check the review center, I noticed a significant increase of the quality of ads, which are better matching the content of my sites. But I am not really seeing an improvement in earning (but I am not complaining since my earning remains rather stable).

My Page RPM went up by 7% yesterday, but sitll MUCH lower than it used to be. I saw that ad impressions were down by 34%, though, as compared to the previous week! In researching I see that mobile coverage is down to 50% (as compared to 79% on desktop), so I guess that's the culprit.
There are other threads on the drop in mobile coverage, but it's worth noting the impact here on the overall revenue.

Now only running at about 15% less than normal.

This is strange and frustrating. If I have a good day on Adsense, my ADX earning will be bad, so the total is in the same "normal" interval.

Every October for the last few years, our earnings, CPC and RPM are at least 50% lower than they should be for this time of year. G always blames it on advertisers adjusting their budget/ad spend. But when it gets this bad, coincdentally they usually report "less than stellar" earning. hmmmm

October has been brutal. 20% lower RPM than the last few months. Happened last year too.

Very strange and frustrating ups and downs! The eCPM has 30% variations without special global holidays.
Tomorrow (Friday), my eCOPM will rise, as in India is a gazetted holiday, so the number of littl Indians online will decrease.

I'm at 49% lower than same time last year. This has become a joke. Has anyone tried auto-ads for any meaningful length of time? Maybe I'll give it a whirl and see. I doubt things can get worse than they are now.

It depends, if this is your adsense income which is low, but your traffic still good, then using auto ads can nuke your ranking and by consequence your traffic....

Friday was surprisingly much better than any other day this week. Only 23 clicks but 29p CPC with something like £3.50 rpm page. If every day was like this I would be quite happy. It's just strange that one day can be like this and then the next six days are rubbish

I'm seeing the first Christmas ads appearing.
Otherwise, RPM has been good, traffic has been horrid.

Auto-ads, this is : - too many ads per page (auto-ads will place lot of ads) - ads too invasive (auto-ads will automatically insert ads anywhere) - etc...
this is against Google "Search" guidelines, so there is a huge risk to get your ranking downgraded, and auto-ads produces ads which are against the ... "I forget the name", which makes that, since February (in theory), ads would be blocked by Chrome (even if I have never (yet) saw Chrome blocking ads).
Keep in mind that Adsense != Google Search

The revenue is like being press slowly into a giant press. Each day a metric is going down => lower revenue.
It's strange that I did not see any Haloween ads. In retrospect, last year was the same.

Two years ago, advertisers complained about getting their creatives showing on junk sites (especially fake news sites). So it's possible that now, there is a better control over what is being shown where. And of course small/average publishers are certainly not the first choice of advertisers... The same way there is a ad balance for publishers to get ride of low paying ads, there might be a similar system for advertisers to get ride of publishers.

I'm seeing really strong RPM today, I'm at 5X my average. That likely wont stick but I've already made more today than yesterday and it is only 10am and yesterday was an average day.

I remember having those numbers in 2015 and 2016. October has been roughly 1/3 of that, though :'-(

for me, eCPM had gone UP in the last years, but I've lost 75% of my traffic and I saw a whooping 80% in the number of clicks...
CPM ads are still 3%, so we can talk only about CPC.
