I knew the day was coming...the end of /adxseller and /dfp interfaces being replaced with Google Ad Manager. But, I thought that day was tomorrow Aug 1st not July 31st :P
Am I the only one who really doesn't like the new interface?
- I'm missing the very basic overview 'ad requests / unfilled requests / total dollar amount" broken down by day on a quick snapshot level that I got with AdX on the homepage.
- The reports I can generate that 'match' the previous AdX reports don't have the exact same numbers.
- I'm running into continuous "choose an account" every time I click specific links like View in Query Tool (since I have multiple GSuite accounts for different businesses) and are redirected to the same page over and over again so never reach the query tool via the link...
The list goes on....
I'm used to change having started with Adsense nearly 15 years ago and going through the shifts of AdMeld merging with Ad Exchange and the growing pains of DoubleClick. I am a bit sad though to see two reporting interfaces that have remained fairly consistent for the better part of the last 5-6 years go away. I know in the long-term this will all be great...but boy I got my hands full with this change.
I'm wondering why others haven't said much about this change today. Are there any particular groups or sites I should be checking? Think the equivalent of Barry's SEO site but for folks who use AdX and DFP? I know we don't share sites here but perhaps a few google queries you'd use to find such sites? I'd like to see others viewpoints about the change.
