15 years of AdSense - time to see your all time report

Have you seen the video in your AdSense homepage?
I did.

Time for a recapitulation.

My first report is from Tue, Oct 17, 2006, 2 clicks, zero earnings. :D
My first earning, Fri, Nov 3, 2006, 1 click, 0.03€.

My best years were 2010 and 2011.

Aside from the first two years - where earnings were pretty low - my worst day was Dec 24 2008.
My second worst day was... this day, July 2, three years ago, 2015.
Third worst: July 10 2016.
Forth worst: July 11 2014.
Weeeell... it seems July is a bad month.
And those were 3 lousy years...

My best day was Feb 14 2011.
That day, I made 23 times what I made Dec 24 2008.

My most recent best day was Apr 30 2018. All time considered, it was my 56th best day.
Just one year earlier, my earnings were 3 times lower.

Am I a million publisher (as in what's the total earning in the all time report) after hundreds of millions of ads?
No, by a long distance... :P
And won't be anytime soon.

But, nonetheless, I'm satisfied with the overall result.

Our best months ever, in terms of impression RPM and total earnings, were back in 2004 and 2005, when (as I recall) we were running two ads per page. Today, with one ad per desktop or tablet page and no ads on mobile, our monthly earnings from AdSense are about a sixth of what they were in the glory days.

For us, ads have been secondary to affiliate bookings for years, so the gradual decline in AdSense revenue would have been expected even if programmatic ad buying, massive competition, etc. hadn't starved the golden goose. Still, I do have the feeling that we're leaving money on the table (especially with mobile), so I've just begun working with Ezoic to up our advertising game.

Without giving hard figures... I have been with AdSense for 13 years - first one in this country to join.

My first day was 31 Aug 2005 and had around mid three digits revenue, low four digits click.

My best day (6 SEP 2005) was four figures and 23 times worth the worst day (6 FEB 2010).

My best month was Sept 2005 with some five figures, which was 13 times better than the worst month.

Only one day of 2017 - 2018 shows up in the top 100.

We had a few hundred million ad impressions in all this time.

The countries report is only available from March 2011. Top countries are New Zealand, United States, Australia. I am pretty sure US would be top before that because at around 2010 we saw a huge change from US to mainly NZ traffic.

I've been with AdSense since the beginning. Wow 15 years. My peak year was about 2013 but things are going more than great now even though I'm not setting records. The earnings from AdSense has allowed me to be my own boss and buy so many things (house, cars, etc.). Anecdotally it feels like there is a bit of an earnings cap. Traffic and views go up but the earnings don't. Oh well it's still plenty to live off of. I hope to have another 15 years with AdSense, the ride has been great so far.

I have never, ever needed Google revenue, I only installed its code to see what happened, I am not a traditional publisher, all my sites are corporate brochure sites. Sure I've taken the money, it came for free, however to experience first hand what Google has done over the last few years to destroy certain sectors of websites and BLATANTLY STEAL copyrighted material and images, well, wouldn't you be mightily pi$$ed off with them?

Alas, I've been with Google since '03 or '04 but switched to a business account in 2014 and lost all historic data. Would have liked to see it! No idea what the earnings total would amount to. I do remember I started out well in 2004, but made the mistake of selling the site for 1-2x yearly revenue when it would have continued to do well (better, in fact) for at least another 5 years.

Get over it already, try some therapy. You're not getting back at or hurting Google in any way by constantly bringing it up every chance you get, and nobody cares to read it.

Like RedBar I have never depended on Google. My peak was right at the beginning in 2005/6. Now with a much busier site I get nothing like those numbers although things did pick up for a while in 2013.

Now a little hobby site that I haven't paid much attention to since setting it up has five times the RPM of my main site.

I find your all inclusive statements ridiculous, all "they" do is "rip us off". I don't feel ripped off at all so when you do (unfortunately) post, it would be better to speak for yourself. Oh and for the record: I started with Adsense in 2005. My best year was last year. This years earnings are considerably up. Yesterday was my best day ever....

I'll chime in.

Publisher since the beginning, my lowest day was the first day I started serving ads (with one exception). I met some of the biggest publishers at Google's HQ. Entire parking lot of the hotel was filled with varying colors of Ford Tauruses which seemed capable of traversing the hilly roads of San Francisco.

Since then, there were definitely rough times and particularly during the worldwide economic crisis. Thereafter, I decided to reinvent and have since seen some of my best months with Google's program. It took a huge amount of creativity, inventiveness, coding, testing, investment and above all, hard work. I've been invited back on several occasions to different cities.

AdSense is still an excellent program. It has its faults but there isn't anything that comes close to its innovation and ease-of-use. I hand it to the people at Google that keep it going.

I guess I was the first one in Spain.

My best months were in 2006 and 2007. Good years: I bought the Mercedes-Benz I still own.

I just started to remove the Adsense ads past month and I should have removed it from my websites before august. I'm selling the advertising space by myself.

I’ve been earning with AdSense for 14 years 10 months.
My most successful month so far was: November in 2016.
On average, my most successful month of a year is June.

AdSense really change my life, I'm not a millionaire but thanks to AdSense I was able to quit my job, buy cars, 2 houses and best of all wake up late and work any time I want.
