Perhaps ... then again a zillion or so users (and webmasters, too) have filters for doubleclick.com ...

g's rename might generate a few millions income before that name is entered into the filters. However, a rebrand more closely related to g could also have a benefit for all concerned.

In reality, a name is just a name and names can be changed. :)
