Let's try to summarize a bit.

- problem is related to big websites;
- not every big website is infected;
- coverage not necessarily should be low to see no ads (my coverage is 90+);
- I saw ads were shown on page like this : No ads - Ads - No No No No Ads - Ads (same) - No No ads - Half Ads (different)
It says to me, that this is not about crawler, because even if these were 3rd party ads, then why page was not filled by them all the time.
Also G. didn't say, that re-crawl required and meantime you will receive 3rd party ads only. It said re-crawl required to receive ads. Any ads.
Also almost a month passed since new policy was implemented. Obviously things should be better every day, since more pages supposedly should be re-crawled, but nothing good
happens.
So, I don't see any evidence, that this is about crawler. Pure assumptions.

Please add your observations and conclusions.

@sdks the google test you sent me too never did run so I ran a speed test from the "experienced developer" link and got the following grades:

A
First Byte Time
A
Keep-alive Enabled
A
Compress Transfer
F
Compress Images
D
Cache static content
X
Effective use of CDN

but the "industry" part of your question obviously I cannot answer. There are not a lot of images on our site - it's text heavy. I don't think it's speed that's the issue. But obviously I'll see what if anything we can do to "get better" on those issues.

Best, Un.

@Unshiny
My question was not about speed, but doesn't matter.

Actually, I thought that problem with blank ads was resolved, but today I see plenty of blank spots again.

@skj....ok sorry for delay. This time it ran for me and I would say that they do have our industry pretty much correct.

Google has announced that there was some sort of data mismatch but of course I don't know how or if this has to do with our problem.

...just wondering if anyone is still suffering from this blank ads thing?
i know that google are saying they want to crawl the pages before showing any ads on it, and that probably explains away the problem for a lot of pages, but i've got pages on my site that are definitely visited every hour, and the ads seem to flit in and out at random.
one time i look at it there will be ads, but the next time i look at it they will be gone. then they'll suddenly be back again, then gone. it's driving me up the wall!
has anyone figured out what the problem is?
