Ad Balance was one of the great features that AdSense introduced, but shortly after it was taken down for lengthy maintenance.
I went to my AdSense this morning to find that Ad Balance has returned and according to Ad Sense it is improved.
I have not seen any official posts about it on Google Blog or elsewhere, but if I find any information, I will post it here.
I thought that I will start this discussion here to see if anyone is seeing any improvements in the ad revenue with new ad balance feature.

@AlexB77 we have been talking about it a lot here:

But I think a fresh thread makes more sense since there is no more maintenance issues, for most people :( .

Also, I am very happy it is back, but what has improved? If anything the improvements must all be under the hood. I don't see any new features or functionalities.

@NickMNS I agree, no visible improvements, but kind of hoping for some if not major under the hood.
My previous settings before ad balance maintenance was 69 with 99 with actual recommended settings 58. Revenue was up by 30%.
My current settings are 72 with 99 but recommended is 71. Too early to report any changes in revenue.
I know that this recommendation will change over time, but I am thinking about leaving it for a while to see the impact if any.
Also, another changes that I have noticed today, the Ad Review section has now been updated to the new design and with several improvements. I will play around a bit with it to see what has actually changed, but from what I can already see is blocking unwanted ads is much easier than before.

@AlexB77 for the ad-balancer I recommend setting and forgetting. There is too much variability in Adsense earnings to be able to conclude anything on a day to day basis. I like to set it and wait a few weeks to a month then readjust.

As for the Ad-review center. I noticed the change in early September. I posted about here:

The improvement seems to me to be that the actual impression count is FAR more accurate to what you set it at percentagewise. Also, inactive ad units will collapse.

I set to 10% over what would still be 100% earnings at 65%. I haven't noticed any improvement, but seems to be in line with past earnings. When I visit my pages I also don't see any decreased ads, hmmm.
