Adsense Account for each Business?

Hello,

I'm new to the forums, but have learned a lot in the short time I've been here. So thank you all for such a strong community.

I currently have a business adsense account registered in my business name which has a few websites under. I'm looking at growing my portfolio while also trying to balance the risk of new sites in adsense. Some of my new sites are in a different business name of mine and was curious if its wise to create a second business account registered under my second LLC. Both have unique banking information but would be managed by me. Both also have the same address and my IP would be the same on both.

I've found that this is common practice to have a second business account but was curious what the consensus is here. Is there anything for or against this in the rules? Am I asking for unwanted attention from google?

I, personally, would just use two accounts. However, if you want to grow in the future it would make sense to put them under one account so you can accumulate your revenue/impressions/whatnot to become eligible for AdX as a network.

There's probably an argument for independent accounts. If one goes sour, it won't affect the other. But that would require separate & distinct credentials.

Do you know if separate LLC's (US) will suffice for google? I'm with you on the separate and distinct credentials but would they care if it is same IP and me logging into the accounts?

I wouldn't think that your internet connection would affect the autonomy of the account creation or management.

Google does let you switch accounts when logging in. As a website developer, I have managed multiple accounts in the past from the same IP connection.

Whether that will come back to you affecting your finances is the question.

That is a great point because I also have multiple accounts I'm switching from. Really my question is am I running a risk with having multiple adsense accounts (1 per LLC partnership) with their own bank accounts. Others say it is the right way to do it and to let google know. I don't know if LLC partnership is unique enough to google (they have their own tax return and EIN with government).

I would think a separate FEIN and a separate corresponding bank account for each entity would be good enough. It's good enough for the IRS. But having said that, why not ask Google what they recommend? Better to start out above board and on their good side, I think, rather than finding out later that they don't like your set up.

I've never had a way of contacting google adsense. I've put in a few emails in the past but never heard back. How should I be getting in contact with them?

If you are earning at least $100 a month - fairly sure that is the threshold - then you can contact support via email. If you are earning at least $2,000 (roughly) per month, then you can contact them via chat. Go to the Help pages in your Adsense account and search for "support." You should see your contact options.

I've been beyond that threshold for some time but chat is always unavailable for me.

@ember I tried the email support recently and my messages keep bouncing back, with a response saying that my question was not a policy issue and thus cannot be answered and that I should use the utterly useless Adsense forum.

A separate business entity should be able to get a separate account. I have an account for my personal business that I manage on my own and another distinct account for another business in which I am a partner. The accounts are held by businesses not people. Obviously if you do not operate as business but as an individual then the account will be in your name.

You have to keep checking the chat function every couple of minutes during the available timeframes (2 hours in the AM and 2 in the PM, if I remember right). It will say unavailable most of the time. Eventually it will say the wait time. When it does, jump on it. If it doesn't happen, try again during a different time window. At least that is my experience. Too many people wanting to chat and too few reps available during too few hours, I think. Kind of ridiculous.
