I just noticed that few the most active ads (ads with highest number of impressions in ad center) suddenly stopped showing on august 6th. They had few thousands of impressions each day on my site, but dropped to zero to tens starting august 6th.
@Nightmute it would make sense. Let's see what comes ouf of this. But it's positive that it's global issue, because it indicates that it will recover for all of us. Hopefully soon.

+1 I am glad that its global too, the more people involved the faster we will sort it out.

Westcoast, are you seeing unusual ads?

Assuming that your websites are global and not targeted at one country, other people will see different ads and what you are seeing. So you may well look at your website and see a load of rubbish, but that's not necessarily what I would see. Or are you looking internally at AdSense to see what ads are showing. I've looked in ad review but it doesn't necessarily tell you which ads are showing at the time, and to whom

So from what happened, that drop was going for 24 hours approx. , everything back to normal after 24 hours. and i think @Nightmute right , i mean his theory about reset and update looks more than real so @westcoast survive for 24 hours, if its not coming back try to do the same stuff i did , maybe it helped some how - i removed "download" category (from sensitive categories list) and in ad review center i removed about 20 ads with "download" button and block those adwords accounts.

Our account clawed back from -30% week over week to -5% RPM week over week.
I reached out to my Google contacts but chances are they won't disclose anything.
I'll update once more tomorrow.

You're going to do what, sort out what, with whom, Google?
Look, get a grip on reality of what is happening in various regions of the world:
1. It's holiday time
2. In many parts of southern Europe/Mediterranean/Russia,Middle East, it is scorchingly hot, on FIRE, people ain't hitting the www, they are simply not interested in your sites.
3. Trade/stuff changes and can change very, very rapdily without you even realising it.
Give it a few weeks before hitting the "panic" button since, if your business is relyong on such a balancing act, then it may just be time to re-consider your plan(s).

@RedBar What it have to do with "people not hitting www" if we discussing CTR and CPC ? I explain many times that PV stays the same , so there are no correlation between summer/holiday/fire/sausage/biki/beach and number of people actually visiting website which exactly the same as last week.

Start with the day and good to see CPC of .10$ otherwise normally it ends with .04$. Hope something changed or it will be normal by day end.

Yea looks like mid day yesterday my cpm started rising back up and was looking better, but by around 8 pm it started dropping quite drastically again and looks like today is off to a bad start again.

As I posted in a new topic - starting from 6th of August there is a decrease in CPC. Today it is more than 50%. Checking by countries - USA and Canada are minus 60%. So it has do something with with the traffic from these countries ( my traffic is 80% from them ). UK and Australia are stable. All other stats are constant - PV, CTR, Impressions, Clicks so it's not about people are on holiday

Right. There is exact 60% drop in the USA, Canada CPC on my site. CTR is looking fine, CPC is down and apparently RPM too.

My CPC was down almost 50% as well, and I notice that the Matched content ads had the biggest drop, so I removed the Matched content for now.

66% decrease in revenue here in the US. Ad review center had a lot of tupster and download ads but I don't believe they are related.

Never had this low CPC in 2017! I don't know what's happening.

Yes, another appalling day here. CTR is hovering around 0.8% and fill rate is higher than usual - but EPC has slumped. A testament to the utter dross that passes for advertising stock at the moment.

Yup down about 50%, yesterday didnt get any better, it started going further down over night and this morning [GMT] is even worse.
This is from a network of sites with approx 50m pageviews a month, 90% of traffic from the top 5 countries. The 'school holiday', 'its hot in europe', 'people dont use the internet' excuses only go part of the way to explaining these issues - and they certainly dont account for a sudden cliff drop. Google display has been reduced this year from 80% of revenue to 40% and all of the other forms of monetisation are working just fine.
Looks like they have reset something as the ads are highly unusual and the geo targetting is messed up. Hopefully they get it fixed soon.

Almost half day passed and earning is not even 1/5 of what it was yesterday at this time.
I'm also seeing same ads on the majority of ad blocks.

Back no normal. Never ever check earning early morning. It is tempting but comes to normal, in fact worst compared to last month.

Not sure what happened to AdSense. In past 10 hours, I have earned only 2$, this used to be $30. I'm still in single number, it is 6PM already. While yesterday it was going to touch 3 digits and today I doubt it will touch double number.
Earning is stuck or what. It is not moving. Omg, I'm going mad over the small numbers. This is getting pathetic. Send help.

Seems Adsense glitch. I just added a affiliate link on all my pages and thought increase in CPC (morning) was due to this. But Adsense is intelligent then all of us.
Where does the money goes then?

I doubt it to be AdSense glitch because the page views are counted. CPC, RPM is pathetic so overall earning is horrible. I'm running out of words to describe my today's number.

Aug 7 all the number almost matched up at the end of the day to usual (maybe only 10% lower) Aug 8 everything starts again , RPM 50% lower My Ad center review not even opening , loading for a long time and stuck , i think its a panic all around and everyone try to do something

My CTR is highest ever today. But CPC is lowest ever. Can something go even below .02$. Infolinks performs better than Adsense with .01$ cpc.
