Today (a few hours ago) I got an email from Adsense titled:
"Your AdSense Publisher Policy Violation Report for pub-xxxxxx on Jun 24, 2017"

In the email it clear states:

>>In the last 24 hours:
>>New violations were detected. As a result, ad serving has been restricted or disabled on pages where these violations of the AdSense Program Policies were found.

I've followed the link in the email to the reporting page in my Adsense account to see where the violations lie (the Policy Center page). Unfortunately (or fortunately), that page specifically states "Keep up the great work. You have no policy violations."

However, the email does also state:
>>Please note this report doesn’t cover violations that may happen on an overall site or account level. You may be notified by a separate email if site or account level violations are found. Ads will continue to serve where no policy violations have been found, either at the page or site level.

I haven't recieved any other emails from Adsense. Since it's the weekend, there's no one to contact. Anyone had a similar experience? Any chance that the notice was sent out in error (I was hoping there'd already be a thread about this)?

I've looked at my Adsense stats for today, I'm not sure I'm picking up on any abnormal values (like reduced impressions or income).

I recently found a website that had cloned mine (made some minor superficial changes, like the domain name, but for unexplained reasons left my Adsense code in place).

I filed a DMCA complaint via Google Search Console (not via Adsense) more than a week ago. I now have notification that they have removed the URL's (183) from the Google index, but I'm not sure what day that went through.

Would a successful DMCA complaint against a site that has my Adsense code on it trigger this type of notice (that site of course is not in my list of approved websites)?

When looking at the TOS link in the warning email from Adsense it lists everything from fraudulent clicks to deceptive ad placement. I guess this could be revenge click fraud from the site I filed the complaint against and that's why my Adsense console doesn't show any URLs..

I've just looked at Google Analytics: /behavior/publisher pages
and looked for any pages that have elevated CTR (as in fraudulent clicks). I don't find any reporting there that looks suspicious to me. Over all, the website CTR is quite normal.

In regard to the DMCA filing, Google TOS says:
"AdSense publishers may not display Google ads on pages with content protected by copyright law"

Which in theory I'm doing since my Adsense code does appear on a website that is in volation of a DMCA complaint (although none of that was my doing). Surely this conundrum isn't my problem.

Seems like that is what happened. But, it may resolve itself in a few days since the site was taken down.

When in doubt, contact support if you're eligible.

Why dont you allow your Adsense code only on the sites that you control?

Still no word back on this from Adsense chat since my initial contact (3 days now). Right now I'm still getting the emails, but only every other day. Still no URL's reported in my Policy Center report.

Just got response from Adsense team with apologize for a false positive :)
Usually if there is not any visible policy violations within your Adsense account then it is a false positive and email can be ignored.

My issue has been open for weeks now. I've really only heard back one time from chat (now email) support, which was about 2 weeks or more ago.

I guess the reply from them was that it is a false positive type thing. In my case they attributed the false positive to the site that had cloned my pages (and left my adsense code intact).

When I complained that the cloned site was not one of my Verified sites, and therefore what they do should not be associated with me and my account in any way, the support person seemed insulted, so I just shut up.

I finally got that cloned site taken down. Hopefully those violation emails will stop coming.
