AdSense Deduction for Invalid Traffic BEFORE End of Month

Month is Not Over - Is This New?

I just noticed a deduction for "Invalid Traffic AdSense for Content."

What's weird is the month is not over and I usually this deduction at the end of the month.

The deduction is only 45 cents, so my balance right now is -45 cents.

I usually see about a 1-2% invalid traffic deduction at the end of each month, but never saw one happen before the month was even over.

Is this something new where a deduction comes in mid-month?

Sometimes I see it mid-month, but I agree it's usually inclu2dec (if at all) in the monthly earnings report.

Never seen that either, but if both of you have seen it, I guess it's a thing ;-)

Perhaps a correction for the previous month(s)?

Yeah, I got that for the first time in 9 years. Only a 2c deduction, so I'm guessing it's an adjustment from last month.

It appears to be something new as far happening widespread.

A lot of people posting about this today in the Adsense forum.

I'm seeing it too. I wondering if it is taking the place of the sudden month-end deduction. It would be nice to see the deductions as they happen throughout the month.

Transaction processing might have gotten it's own data center to provide real time updates. :)

One thing about penny-ante stuff like this is it's easier to slip in nickels and dimes down the road. Just sayin'....
