Very long term coverage rates 98+%

Today 51%

Anyone else seeing anything like that?

My RPM is very low today too. Similar to the start of October. Must be related to the election. Hopefully things pick up tomorrow or Friday.

Last 3 days horrible and today will be probably the worst in my history.

While I understand election have some influence it's also an easy excuse for Google to shave off cash for their massive growth report that I'm sure will come in the next Q.

Today is looking pretty bad her too. Traffic is down as is my RPM. Demand from election ads is gone, hopefully the holiday will start kicking in really soon!

Election day was better than expected -only 15% drop in earnings. Post election day, huge drop of around 35% - totally unexpected. Hope things are fine from thursday.

It must be because of elections results. Traffic / revenue drop here too.

Election day was OK with lots of people browsing on the web with their mobile phones. Today not so much. This might last a good week or so while people spend most of their time reading / looking at politics.

Then people get tired and forget.

Interestingly overnight PVs came back to within normal range and earnings were above average however that is easily explained by some good value UK clicks.

Yep PVs and clicks down. Earnings down today. Yet I have a lot of people on my site. I don't think this is a holiday effect. Something else is going on imo.

RPM down by 75% on one site since the election. Odd because the other sites are not affected and they are very similar. If this were election ad pressure disappearing, I'd think it would affect all sites.

@ember how is the ad quality on your sites? Are you getting relevant ads for your niches - or unrelated ads? I find that mine are a mix. These are some of the lowest numbers I've seen in a while.

Ads to me look the same as before, although my visitors must be seeing something different. 99% of traffic is from US. When I check percentage of earnings from the political category for the last 30 days, it is less than 1% so I don't think this has to do with political ads or the election.

@ember thanks. I don't think political ads are impacting my earnings either.

So this is odd. I have had someone write with a google.com email address. It says they are part of the "Online Partnerships Group" in the footer of the email.

I have good traffic but I am not in the premium publisher category (ie I dont have 20 million pageviews a month)

Has anyone else run into this? Any insights?

Check the message headers. Anyone can pretend to send from a @google.com e-mail address.

I had someone from Google contact me within the past month, but she introduced herself as an Account Manager and her signature said "Account Associate".

From my experience, any correspondence from someone in a partnership type role will have their role, email address and a 650- area code phone number. If you don't see that, I would be skeptical but if it's there, give him/her a direct call.

Back to the point of my thread, my traffic and earnings are exactly as expected and pretty much in line with November 2015. Overall revenue taking into account all my partners, this is going to be an all-time record month. I think December will be even higher.

Love this time of the month, gonna buy a new car with the $, can't wait!

child_please. When you called what happened? Was it advice on your site? Or was it related to becoming a premium publisher? I always assumed the premium publisher invite would come through my adsense account not email.

It was mainly advice on my site, optimization strategies and recommendations.

Nothing about being a premium publisher. What perks exactly do you get as one?

romerome

Well before you got permission to go past the 3 ad limit. And a permanent account manager. But with the changes in number of ads I am not sure what the perks are now.

As for premium publishers, I guess most of restrictions are removed. I see "premium" publishers with Adsense ads (real adsense codes, not other ad system from Google), showing ads on page with no content, or more precisely were the content is made from things like outbrain or taboola. Aslo, publishers having adsense in floating boxes, or right under headline titles. Without couting sites with downloadable content, which are placing Adsense code in a misleading way so you click them, thinking it's to start a download. Things like that.
