Link Unit Not Showing

Hi,

I have added new content on my main landing page so I thought of adding a new responsive link ad to it. I already had 3 add content and 3 link units. It's a very big page.

After having added it, I have noticed 3 strange behaviors:
1) The link add unit would show to me on desktop (both IE and Chrome) as a bigger (approximately 750x35 ad) text add. But then on mobile android would not show up at all.
I had no views reported on this new ad unit for one week. I wrote on the google forum, but no luck there...

2) Trying to troubleshoot the issue number 1) I found out that by removing any other link unit the new link unit would show properly as a link ad, on all platforms, as well as in my adsense account view report for that particular ad unit. So problem 1 is solved.

3) The issue identified under 2) I can't solve it, no matter how much I try, I can't get 4 link ad units to display. I thought that it's due to the google rule that "Not all ad units are displayed"
[support.google.com...]
but then when I replace the link unit with a fourth content adsense unit, it gets displayed nicely on all platforms.

4) I have read as well that there is some sort of refresh limit, that sometimes ads are not being displayed if you refresh too many times. But to troubleshoot on all platforms, you have to refresh... I have no idea whether this is completly true or not

5) I have another link ad unit that does not want to get displayed under any ciercumsatances, neither all alone on a page, nor with other link units... I do not know what is wrong with that link ad unit.

I'm going crazy a bit with all this complexity, knowing that many other colleagues here on the forum have reported similar issues with ads displaying on one browser, but not on another one... or not on another platform...

I would really like to focus more on creating more content and improving my content to bring more visitors rather than troubleshooting this very difficult issues.

I'm using Drupal, with Adsense module, but the link units are pasted directly as html in the pages.

Any help would be appreciated
Many thanks

I do what you do in the sense that when editing or sometimes even composing a page I refresh it and Adsense about a million times. I personally don't think I've ever noticed a refresh limit. Since I'm working on a development URL I notice that my Media.net ads don't show. I think I would have noticed if the Adsense didn't show too.

There was a time when I used the Drupal Adsense module with a site. I remember that it wouldn't show ads to the administrator, so possibly that is checked?

Thank you Broadway,

Yes, it's true with the drupal adsense module you can disable the ads for admins. But I'm testing it without being logged in on several browsers. I'm pasting directly in the html the link ad code, so it does not use the adsense module.

What I find strange, is that this same link unit on a particular page does not show on Edge nor Chrome, but shows on Android as a content text unit, and the views or clicks are not being recorded by my adsense account.

The same link unit shows well on other pages...

I have the same problem with another link unit that shows well on some pages, and on a particular page not at all in Edge or Chrome but neither on android...

No problem what so ever with content ads (not links).
