The meteorological first day of summer for us in the northern hemisphere, let's hope that Google decides to brighten up our days!

I'm hoping someone can help me here. I don't know what's going on with my Google, so far today I have had easily six clicks and made 75p, however my earnings today are showing £2.33. I can see that some units have made a few p but no clicks, but I can't work out why the rest of the money I have earned has come from.

Yeah...I agree with RedBar. Not sure why my traffic is down, across multiple websites. Rankings are all the same, and the memorial day holiday is over. Hopefully it self-corrects soon.

@Ironside, recently I am making more money on CPM instead of CPC, so I think you are getting this earning from CPM.

WOW! Yesterday had a massive " one hit wonder" click, on one of my ad types and a hand full of impressions with an impression RPM over $350:00

Youtube is click CPC, based not impression based ..so it is a bit odd!

That one bit of activity lifted my daily RPM big time .....yesterday! earning were up by around 25%

Today is back to very low RPM

@nubchai yes, I have got mobile ads running and I think that you have hit the nail on the head, that is where the money is coming from

@Nick also, you are right, it is best to leave things long enough to see what's happening. I have fact not touched the ads since the end of April. Yesterday was a slightly better day, but quite a bit of the money came from mobile ads, just discovered that. So maybe that's telling me that that is an area I should concentrate on since it seems most of my traffic comes from mobile usage. So far this month, 64.6% has come from mobile usage, 26.8% from desktop and 8.5% from tablets. So if you were in my position would you be concentrating on mobile more?

June is looking okay for us. A bit erratic at first, but that's typical for the beginning of the month.

@ironside, it looks like we are in similar situation, my typical weekend split is 65 / 10 / 25 mobile/tab/desk, this changes to 50/10/40 during the week. My earnings are mostly coming from desktop. Clearly if anyone has a way to increase clicks from mobile, that would be the place to concentrate ones efforts. In the absence of that, I am working on driving more traffic to my site and creating more high quality content. All in effort to get advertisers more interested, to try and push rpm. But it is a slow and difficult up hill battle.

I do a website for somebody and the main content is just photos with a very small description at the top of the page. Do you think I'm better off adding an image only AdSense unit to the pages?

Key to me, as I see my future long term survival, are page views.

Or traffic that converts very, very well.

Do you think I'm better off adding an image only AdSense unit to the pages?

I think you venture into risky territory when you can't tell the ads from the content. Image ads could look like the photos, and I think there is a rule about not putting adsense next to images?

Just had possibly the worst day ( 4th June ) this year, and possibly the worst since starting with Adsense.

Both the page-views and the CPC fell through the floor....

The biggest change I've noticed and I'm not sure if it's something Adsense implemented, but my mobile clicks have decreased by 40-50% starting on May 30, last Monday.

I have zero clue why that is. Right now I'm getting my lowest click days since the start of the year. I get clicks in the thousands, so if I was getting 4K per day, not it's 2K.

I'm sure a lot of them were accidental clicks. Maybe Adsense just started something to make things harder for people to make accidental clicks. Ad views, ad serving and ad viewability has not decreased.

However, my revenue is not suffering because my RPM is pretty high and the CPC is good as well, so I'm not really losing money.

Traffic is the same, even higher in some instances, and my other networks that I work with have seen no decline in the daily average.

I'm just stumped with this click issue and every damn day I see this message in my adsense of "One goal of Matched content is to increase user engagement. Your page RPM and other metrics might be affected by this increase." Every day I click it off and it just returns.

More than half of my measly £8.61 earnings yesterday came from those mobile ads that appear in between page views. I'll be quite happy if this increase in mobile earnings carries on because it can't be much worse than that is been for the last few days.

I had a look at some historical data since starting on YouTube.

Whenever desktop views went up (sometime big increases) my earning shot up as well....

Now that Mobile has taken over around 75% of my traffic, my (Potential ) earnings have slowly but very consistently dropped off......only when there is a ( very rare) jump in Desktop traffic, my earnings go up...

Is anyone else seeing a HUGE difference between their own log traffic analysis and Google's PVs etc at the moment?

I am seeing between 4X and 5X lower metrics from AdSense, I can see valid global users yet G doesn't seem to "recognise" them whatsover, G does not even register those visitors as ever having been to my sites ... WTF is going on?

I am also very pi$$ed off with having 3 ad units on a page and the same ad is in every unit ... and all serves a 522 error!

What a totally and utterly screwed-up "programme"!

Red, I'm def seeing some problems. As I stated earlier, my traffic is more or less the same, page views, even Adsense ad impressions and viewability - but for some reason I'm getting like 40-50% less clicks on mobile since May 30.

I had a super Sunday with a double digit RPM for the US. Saturday was also impressive.

Got a $14 click, and it's been there for at least two hours, so it was probly valid. I don't see those every day.

Did you keep your $14 click? I just got £3.40 p from one of my mobile ads, then they promptly took most of it back, really annoying.

As far as I know it was never taken off. Of course, it could also get clawed back at month end and I would never know because they don't give us detail on those.

I believe the reason we are all seeing so much less clicks is because Adsense implemented that accidental click protection on mobile. There is no other theory on why it would be anything else.

I've had a ridiculous amount of clicks since we debuted our mobile site in January. All of a sudden on May 30 the clicks declined by 50% and have stayed at that pace. I don't see it as a coincidence. I believe Adsense made some kind of change because many of my friends are seeing the same trend where everything is the same but clicks are way down.

The US Cavalry came to my rescue overnight and dragged things up to minimum earnings.

I was looking at some of my sites on a pub's wifi last night, some of the ads I am getting are simply weird or the same one repeated page after page. One weird one simply said "Blue", nothing else, that was it, obviously there are lots of things one could define as "blue", does Google vet any ads these days?

Why has nobody discussed the Adwords class action law suit and how that may be a culprit in what some of us are experiencing? Maybe I missed a mention. I saw the article on CNET and it's a very plausible explanation.

@Redbar I know exactly how you feel, it's just gone 7:30 PM in the afternoon and I'm registering three clicks for £1.24 p. I simply cannot understand why this is happening, I can't remember having this amount of clicks at this time of the day, even going back to when I first put AdSense on my website, what on earth is going on? Most of that £1.24 seems to have come from my mobile page ads. In fact, I've just been looking at my figures and the most of and from one ad unit today is 13p, that was just an impression not a click. I think the next on was either two or one click adding me 12p, absolutely pathetic. It's still early for me because the majority of my visitors come from the US so I've still got plenty of time in the day to improve things. I think it's 2:30 PM on the East Coast, 1:30 PM central time and I think we are probably around eight hours behind the West Coast.

I am absolutely convinced that I am missing out on quite a bit of money from one of my articles. I can get up to 5 or 600 hits on one article, however not an awful lot of money is coming from it. There's got to be a better way of organising my AdSense units. At the moment, I have a responsive unit next to the logo, this hardly ever gets any clicks, but it's starting to earn money just by impressions. Than I've only got a 300 x 600 ad unit embedded within the text. I have been wondering if a different position would work better?

If the tap targets are sized appropriately, there shouldn't be many accidental clicks on mobile. I wonder if, because of tap targets, Google is automatically shaving off a percentage for accidental clicks. It seems to me that sites, like mine, that test 99% for mobile readiness should not have many accidental clicks. Perhaps Google is not differentiating.
