Hello,
The site was doing normal ctr 1% to 1.15%, but since yesterday (11/06/12 12AM EST) it suddenly dropped ctr to 0.60% to 0.70%. Is anyone notice or its just me, if just me do you think it will be come back after certain period of time ?

Edit:- only thing I did is to handle heavy traffic, added memory cache to the database. Do you think it could be the reason ?
Thanks

Could be a change in traffic quality. Could be Google is shaving clicks because they think some of them are invalid. Could be a popular advertiser dropped out suddenly. Could be ad targeting is off and less relevant ads are showing. Could be a delay in Adsense reporting. It is really hard to know. Only time will tell if the the CTR increases.

Hey ember,
so there is a chance that CTR might go up again ?

It could. Depends on the issue. Has your traffic quality changed or is it the same but not what Google wants? If so, then the CTR may not come back up. If the issue is that an advertiser has dropped out, they could come back and CTR could go back up. As I mentioned, you'll really only know by waiting and seeing (or by fixing traffic quality if that is the issue and then still waiting and seeing).

Here is some data from last week
Organic:-
CTR 1.09% CPM $1.98
Social :-
CTR 1.02% CPM $1.33
Device:-
Mobile CTR 1.00% CPM $1.25
Tablet CTR 1.11% CPM $2.28
Desktop CTR 0.57% CPM $1.85

From yesterday
Organic :-
CTR 0.62% CPM $0.69
Social:-
CTR 0.48% CPM $0.37
Device:-
Mobile CTR 0.42% CPM $0.30
Tablet CTR 0.98% CPM $0.97
Desktop CTR 0.50% CPM $0.79

Now my site 80% traffic from mobile so basically I can't even run the business, which I invested around 35k :( please can anyone take a look and see whats going on. Do you think it could come back or just over.

@Chronos Slayer

The first thing to actually be concerned about is long term traffic trends. Day to day, or even weekly gyrations in CTR and EPC should also only be viewed over the long term as well e.g. three months.

There are numerous complex reasons [some already suggested] as to why you may suffer sudden drops, none of which are necessarily directly related to yourself, or your site.

I often notice significant drop in CTR when Adsense starts experimenting new text ads designs. I guess that it means these experimentation are not successful. It happens once in a while.
