Finalized Earnings Current Balance

I've been looking at the Adsense Home page for what seems like years and have never really taken notice of the Current Balance figure underneath the Finalized Earnings Heading (left hand side). I'm using Classic Mode.

Currently it's showing a zero balance. I would assume this figure would show my current earnings for August (to be paid September). Or is the clue in the word 'finalized' and it's not updated until the end of the month once Google has adjusted the figure for invalid clicks etc?

Current balance represents unpaid amounts up to 31st July.

Generally mine is zero'd out from the 23rd (payment day) to the end of the month, and then updated again on the 1st of every month.

Hello Netmeg,

I am relieved to hear your comment. I was stressed because my current balance and payment had reset to zero for the current month on the 26th and i i have been getting in come for last 4 months and seems like the first time this has happened. However, I can go on reports and see how much I have made in the current month. So hopefully it will update for me on the 1st or the 2nd
