Hi guys,

I discovered something interesting on one of my wordpress sites. I haven a 300x250 ad inside my articles and sometimes when opening the certain article, the ad loads and then suddenly approximately 1 second after blinks/go away for 1 second and a then a new ad shows. Is this a normal behaviour and if not what could be wrong?

Thank you so much

I know that asynchronous ads have a refresh feature where ads can reload without the entire page being reloaded. That could be doing it. If not, I'm not sure.

Yes! that sounds like it. But I think it is kind of counterproductive. Is it somehow possible to turn it off?

I'd ask support. I've never seen any of my ads do that across many sites.

The problem with mine in mobile is that sometimes the ad does not load at all but will when I hit refresh.

mikaelo, I had the same situation when I started using media.net ads on the same pages.
I'm pretty sure it contravenes adsense rules to force page reloading so I took off media.net until I find a solution - I did ask their support but never got a response.`
I imagine it has something to do with conflicting js or order of js on a page in certain unusual circumstances but haven't got round to investigating yet.
trebuchet, I never came across this 'feature' even on browser page resizing, do you know where you saw info about it?

That's my suspicion. It's something I've experienced as recently as a month ago. This kind of conflict has been an ongoing nuisance with AdSense ad units.

I had the same issue with double loading AdSense - dropped my revenue btw. At this time it appears that a Template I was using employed a js script that equalized columns after a full page load. I removed the function from my webpages to solve the problem.

This was a purchased Dreamweaver add on template system.
