Quantcast and Adsense

I recently verified my site on Quantcast. I was wondering if anyone else has done this, and if they saw any difference in the performance of the ads on their site?
Thanks,

No, no change. I had their code up for years but finally decided it wasn't worth it. They mine a lot of visitor data and you really get very little in return for it.

You may get noticed better by advertisers. I know at least that after putting quantcast on my site I received emails from many other advertising companies that didn't care about my site beforehand.

Besides quantcast, maybe try to add Comscore..

Didn't make any difference as far as I could tell.

It didn't make any difference for us, and Quantcast's measured traffic for our site went down after we started using a CDN. I ended up chucking the Quantcast code as a result.

The way I see it, Quantcast's "U.S. Demographics" report can be useful. It's panel-based, rather than depending on a script or tag), and you can integrate a U.S. Demographics table widget into your "advertise with us" or "audience" page for sales purposes. But for traffic measurement, Google Analytics is still the gold standard.

I get approached by reputable ad networks since I became verified. Haven't responded to any of the ad networks yet because I'm not sure how much a hassle it will be compared to easy-to-use Adsense.

Unless you like to micro-manage, the other networks have been fairly easy to implement. media.net and vertoz are virtually the same - generate the code and place it. Boom.

It is true that after I put the Quantcast code in, I started getting approached by other networks (where I almost never was before) - so maybe there is an effect there. Hard to say.

I used to use them but stopped several years ago as I realized I wasn't really gaining anything by having their code on my site. AdSense earning have increased every year so I didn't see any negative effect by not having the code.

Apparently I signed up in Jan. 2014 but decided against putting 24 lines of code on every page of my site.

I was wondering why I was getting their newsletter lately, I opted out.

They seem worthless - and will want to up sell you selective services.
