He was doing that site long before AdSense came along. It was no AdSense hoax at all, just a hoax of how his Christmas lights worked. It is within the TOS and policies.

It actually seems to be real. It's just the press labeling it a hoax. Look around the site for yourself. Check the FAQ E7.

I think it may violate the AdSense's TOS because:

The author has put AdSense on the page which claimed:

Use the christmas webcam to view live images of a buncha christmas lights and also CONTROL them

and this is not true.

I "like" his "pennies per click" comment. Yea, maybe, but how many clicks? I'd wager he got thousands and probably made his christmas a lot richer by this hoax.. what a jerk...

It's a not a 'made for adsense' site. It seems nothing agianst TOS.

Luck is on his side to get noticed. His site is not very well designed, but more 'genuine' than some sites we see.

His site was a refreshing change to visit. My best wishes to him.

Not really. It will depend on the kind of ads and payout. I can tell you I have this number of impressions and I'm not in the FedEx club.

Let's see something here... A guy makes a funny joke about some x-mas light... Were I live x-mas is about happyness, share and love... I only see greedy people that want's to know how much he made from Adsense...

So, the almighty Hulk has made a nice joke with his X-mas lights, earn a few bucks from Adsense (that would not be much, the main attraction was the webcam...) and admited it was a Hoax... Now what? You want to sue him because he was original and funny? LOL!

I can't see how the site violated that. For crying out loud has anyone seen the "deception" here: Google's PigeonRank Technology [google.com]?

Either way thats stupid because people were still being delivered ads. The viewers arent going to change anything in that sense. I also think thought that the owner of that site just wanted attention and fame. Otherwise why not just say "alright i have decided to end this fun thing on my website" instead of letting the secret out. Is a magician not better to have thought to be magic, rather then exploit his own trickery.
