Just noticed the above in the ad serving section. For me, it was defaulted as a tick. I shall untick it as I do not require them. Yours too may also be ticked.

Thanks for the heads up. I hadn't seen that before, but I turned it off now.

I turned it off straightaway.

Now if only I could turn off autoplay completely and entirely forever. That is incredibly annoying, and hated.

could this be related to the proliferation of /eyeblaster/addineyeV2.html 404 errors coming from adsense that I am seeing?

I turned of VPAId for now to see if that solves it.

Turning off expandable ads (not VPAID ads) resolved this for now, but if there's a simple solution I'd try turning it back on.

For anyone interested I think I found the culprit causing these 404 errors in the first place - chrome prefetching. Once I turned it off the errors disappeared.
