The Google Publisher Plugin places ads above the fold. Is that no longer an issue with Adsense. Do you think there would be an issue with ads above the fold with other plugins.

I don't think there ever was an issue with AdSense ads ATF. Above the Content maybe if no content was ATF. There are plenty of sites have an ad in the header or sidebar ATF while still showing content ATF.

I always have at least one ad above the fold. Hasn't hurt me so far.

It could be an issue especially if a lot of your traffic is tablet or mobile and that ad is all that's on the screen until the viewer scrolls down when the page loads.

i want to install this plugin butt in my site, the plugin shows following information: Your site appears to use one or more custom templates on single pages. We do not recommend using the Google Publisher Plugin to place ads on custom templates. Your ads may not appear correctly or reliably. All other templates are supported.
please help me what i do?

First of all, you can't post your URL here.
It sounds like the plugin is not compatible with the theme of your site. I don't use it myself (I have a custom theme as well) but it's probably only set up to work in generic themes. So you'll probably need to either find another way to serve AdSense, or engage a developer that can figure out how to add it to your theme.

Ads above the fold weren't the problem. It's when the ads outweigh the content ATF. So if you put two large ad units and folks have to scroll to get to content then you might want to stop and reconsider if that's a good user experience. YES it might earn more but that could cause the site to be ranked lower, causing earnings to slump.
