Got Adsense Violation Email. But Not in Control Panel. Scam?

I got an email from Adsense asking to fix an Adsense violation.

The problem is that there is no violation listed in my Adsense account, in the Policy Violations section.

Also, I didn't receive any message inside my account, only the message via email.

Could it be some sort of scam?

My first thought as well, although a simple mouseover on any links is usually enough to unmask even a well written fake.

I just checked my Adsense again today and now the "violation" is showing there.

It seems like there's a gap between the time they send the email and the problem shows in the account.

Thanks for starting this thread. It shows there can be a delay between the date the notice was received and the time it shows in the AdSense Control Panel.

The delay is the topic under discussion. Seems like the nature of the violation is irrelevant.

How long is the delay? A few hours or more than 24 hours?
