I'm having a bit of Awesome here... but I imagine it's a freak of nature. When everyone else says they're doing good, I'm crap. Go figure.

Oh...quite strange, I wonder what that lull was for since it was clear in my logs as well as AdSense Impressions, overall I ended up with a precisely average August day...hehe...go figure:-)

The hurricane hasn't hit the U.S. yet although there are reported to be evacuations along the coast. It's making landfall within the next few hours at a weakened level [cbc.ca].

Two million without power [abcnews.go.com]. How's your AdSense now?

Why do we need power. Adsense runs on hamster power yes?

But seriously... yes... traffic down and let's not talk about earnings. Let's just hope everyone's safe with their families.

Had a lower than normal Saturday, which IMO I would put down to the hurricane. I only hope that everyone's safe and well overall; seems a really bad hurricane.

Today is scary low for me. I am assuming it's the hurricane since a lot of my traffic (according to analytics) comes from the east coast. I heard on the weather channel it could take a week+ to restore everyone's power over on the coast. Yikes.

Yea, stop the cleanup efforts and click on my links. :)
Our traffic was pretty normal over the weekend, including lots of conversations about the hurricane.

Very low earning these past two days and today isn't looking any better. I hadn't thought of Irene, now I feel selfish.

Millions of peoples lives in turmoil with flooding and power outages and you're worried about how it impacts you Adsense earnings?

The lack of compassion is overwhelming

It's nothing to do with that, it's the causal effect! I have full sympathy with the affected.

Traffic is down about 20% over the last few days. Not the greatest, but what can you do?

As a matter of fact, it dropped way off over 50% for two days. Most of the ads are on "beach weddings" pages. Kinda funny actually, except for the money.

We saw similar dips during all the storm in the Spring. It makes sense. Unless you sell disaster recovery kits. ;-)
