Adsense Ads optimized for me on my own site

So obviously you are not supposed to click on your own ads. I have had an Adsense account for several years and only clicked a couple of times by mistake, and even reported my mistake once.

What I find interesting now is there are ads optimized for me on my own sites. For example, I visited a dedicated server company site the other day, and now I have lots of ads from that company showing up on my dance related site.

It seems like if google has the technology to show ads optimized for me, they would have the technology to know that I am logged into my google account and have no problem with me clicking on ads on my own sites if it my lead me to buy something from the vendor, and further they would let me know I am not getting paid for ads on my own sites that are attached to my google account.

That would likely lead to deeper privacy issues. It's best that they serve what they believe are the most relevant ads without being able to identify the end users.

Same here, I think it should be disabled because I am constantly seeing one ad in all websites!

Users may opt out of the use of the DART cookie by visiting the relevent Google page and will not have ads served based on your browsing history

Check your website's privacy policy. You have one, right?

It's all automated, bots will never be like human beings, they might be efficient but we have something called common sense.

They might have put it there cause of where your IP went roaming, so i guess the ad that you see is not what other IPs are seeing.

But then again it should be about what keywords your site is optimized for.
