Ads on Web Designer's Website

Would this be worth it?

I am trying to cut back a bit on the work that I do (call it semi-retirement if you like). I don't need all the enquiries I get and my website attracts about 2,500 visits per week. Would I get much return from putting ads on there?

Does anyone already do this on a web designer's website and if so are the returns worthwhile?

I wouldn't put ads but I would contact a local web design company and ask about any referral program they may have. You could get say 5-10% on contracts that you refer.

Yea, you could also do an affiliate program for hosting, or SEO services, or anything related. But me, I wouldn't put AdSense.

Actually this is about what I thought and why I asked the question. Back to the drawing board then. :(
