Either my main B&M site is broken or AdSense is and I know my site is up and running!
Not one click so far today with this site, not one after 7 hours, now what have they broken?

Things look off today for me as well...yesterday was a joke. 0.13% CTR and impressions were way up?

I have no idea when but I had a mega click dump over night and ended up with a pre-Thanksgiving Day normal:-)
I'm hoping that for for me things are getting back to average(ish) even though I am 12% down on February 2010 earnings.
At least I can justify having AdSense on sites now.

Today there HAS to be a huge lag. CTR and eCPM are down 50% for the new LOW "normal". Hope there is a click dump soon.

(indyrank, if you think that Google loves me, you obviously don't follow me on twitter)
This is always my slowest month of the year and I actually turned AdSense off for the past five days while I launched a new version of my primary site, and still only have it running on a few sections while I work the kinks out. So if it makes you feel any better, my "best" is none too good at the moment.
But I planned for all that, and it's all good.

Anyone seeing a click dump / catch up yet? We are normal on impressions, but clicks are still about 50% normal.

Why can't G report closer to real time
I can think of 3 reasons why.
1: The huge scale of the operation. 2: To stop fraud. 3: Algo's to go through.

I can think of 3 reasons why.
I'm fairly sure that we can all "think" of reasons why however the fact is that Google has lots and lots of servers, this is precisely why we AdSensers occasionally experience data loss...quite simply they are not synchronising and the data is dumped...period...dumped.
Theoretically both a loss for the publisher and Google and probably a freebie for the advertiser?
I have a couple of speculations as to why this happens and considering trying one of them out shortly to ascertain whether or not I am correct.

Yep, hence #1... The huge scale of the operation.
I didn't say there were only three reasons. Those were off the top of my head.
I doubt they are dumped. Maybe you had a new advertiser on your site that no one was interested in. Who knows ?
But it is a huge system covering many countries.
You can imagine the abuse if it were "almost real time"...
"Hey, mate... click on xyz.com on such-n-such a page, then i'll check to see what I get for it"
"Okay, I did that, do you want me to now click on abc.com and see what they pay?"
"Oh, please."
Nuff said.

It's looking a bit better now however I'm seeing a huge disparity in click values again. Have they made another tweak on the dial that doesn't make sense?
