More detailed performance reports?

Did not spot that before...

Was checking what the targeting ads are doing for my site in the new adsense layout, as another topic is currently discussing whether you should turn it on or off.

There is more information under 'More Reports' than I thought:

Detailed reports on:
* Ad Type (Text, Flash, Rich media, Animated Image and Image)
* Bid Types (CPM, CPC)
* Targeting Types (Contextual, IBA and Placement)

I also thought that CPM equals Placement targeting. As the numbers differ substantially, I was wrong there. Although I disabled IBA, it is still there in yesterday's stats (although doing pretty well compared with Contextual).

The other information under 'More Reports' was already there in the last layout (Ad Units and Ad Types, although the latter indirectly). Did not spot the IBA, the clear CPM/CPC distinction and the Ad Types. I only sporadically used the new layout before, so perhaps it was there all along, but did not see anyone writing about it here over the last few months.

Again, with the risk that this was already there forever, I really love it. The information is great. You don't have to guess that much anymore.

Now the only question remains: what to do with those IBA's... ;)

They add more and more features in new interface and some of them are brand new like IBA report I have seen yesterday.

I did the mistake to disable IBAs , but as I have seen that IBAs rev. are way above contextual and placement, unblocked it.

In my case placement ads (targeting ads) don't work at all and I blocked them by every channel I have, but they are still there and I don't know ho to get rid off them.

Yeah, did the same, I also enabled IBA's. Did not think that they would perform so well. About placement ads: disappointing. CTR is way below context ads and IBA's. However, I wonder what the relationship is between CPM and placement ads (and the CPM is looking pretty, pretty good).

I've had IBAs enabled all along. My report shows that they are only 1% of ad unit impressions but they do pay better CPC and RPM.
When comparing earnings for contextual, IBAs, and placement ads make sure to set the Column headings to Ad requests - not Page impressions. Otherwise the earnings for IBAs and placement ads may look lower than they actually are.
