U.S. holiday week(end) and PIP Nov 2010

Expect unusual stats from U.S. visitors

For those outside the U.S., Thursday of this week is a holiday in the U.S. with just about every business closed. This also impacts Wednesday and Friday and even the entire weekend with people off work, traveling, busy with other things, etc.

This may also impact the PIP date with Thursday being a bank holiday. We'll just have to wait and see.

We should have already been paid today or tomorrow. Unlike last year, this month is late.

I have no idea when PIP will show up this month. Today is the 24th and that's when my patment was issued last November.

In 2010, February was the only month when my payment was issued before the 25th and February's payment was issued on the 24th. There seems to be a current trend of not issuing payments before the 25th. And with the 25th being a bank/business holiday in the U.S., I don't know how that will impact things.

We'll just have to wait and see.

Since I'm usually one of the first to see PIP I've specifically been keeping an eye on this for you guys and with yesterday's stats being all over the place I more than expected to see PIP this morning...but nothing as yet.

It would have been nice to see PIP yesterday and money in the bank today. Obviously they did not follow last year's pattern.

Nothing here on the east coast yet.
I remember back when Google at least tried to get the payments out before holidays.

Fourth Tuesday was yesterday, could stretch it today without seeing a bunch of whining in the USA. But, payment after Thanksgiving? Oh please! If the UK got their PIP check today, USA isn't getting paid until next Monday. Google is going to be shut down tighter than a can of sardines until Monday. We have only a matter of hours left if they are going to PIP us today. I don't see it. We are always a day behind UK checks. I've got good money they won't pay on turkey day.

I think it's rather pathetic on Google's part. I guess the longer they can keep money in the bank, the better off they are. Forget about some of those who would like to have that money to do some black Friday shopping.

Sorry, I disagree. Google is almost a Global company. Only Americans celebrate Thanksgiving etc.

You knew Black Friday was coming, so why didn't you save up a bit rather than blame Google ? "just because" they didn't pay you when you wanted to.

Don't complain people.

Google says at least on my payment page to expect payment by the 30th Payee name: This payment will be issued before November 30 if there are no holds on your account.) It used to say we would get paid by the 10th of the following month so this is a postive step for Google.

If people are already seeing PIP for cheques, it is usually a day later for EFT.

Google does not control the worlds banking systems and public holidays and I'm sure they will push out EFT payments by the date that they have said.

Don't get me wrong I'm more eager than anyone, but I'm not expecting payment to be in the bank due to banks not processing over the weekend (yay) Monday the 29th in Australia.

Stress less.

It doesn't bother me if the PIP money arrives a week after Thanksgiving. I do all of my shopping on Black Friday using a credit card, and I don't pay until it's due after the 1st of the year.

The same goes for XMAS. It could arrive a week late, but we all should be thankful on what we get and not complain about the PIP being a few days or a week late.

Have a very nice Thanksgiving everyone!

Canada Cheque has PIP (Nov. 24).

But no PIP for US EFT, which is usually next business day to Canada Cheque PIP.

LameWolf, I was not complaining for myself. I don't have to worry about not having enough money, but there are others who do. Google is based in the United States, although they do business globally. I just think that Google could be a little more compassionate.

So far today my traffic, according to my logs, is at absolutely normal levels! We'll see what the next few hours brings along since that is when I expect to see a drop off but who knows with these crazy days?

Lame Wolf, who forgot that we get paid at the end of the month? We were looking at past payment history for U.s. holidays, that's all. What's with the smart remarks.

Obviously, the humour/humor went over your head. Not to worry.

We were looking at past payment history for U.s. holidays, that's all.

Really ? Since when ?
There is nothing in the OP's original post about past payment history.

Yes, others have mentioned past performance of Google, but the main part is mentioning about Turkey day and PIP Nov 2010.

I am sorry for keeping this thread on topic.

What's with the smart remarks.

Like I said, it went over your head. For those who know, I call these PIP threads Pointless Information Posted.

Next time I will send it with some canned laughter, then you will know when "the funny bits" come. ;)

Ditto

Normally MIB on a Saturday but I think this time it will be Monday because Commo's process neither debits or credits on weekends.
