Not that I am suggesting any inpropriety on Google's part, I am sure they are very upstanding, but a less scrupulous business could exploit their position, in this way.
Matt
Google doesn't have 100,000 publishers, it's more like about 22,000 (based on cheque number sequences discussed here in the past). Then, Google doesn't earn a lot of money if you look at it in percentage terms. Publishers get a bigger cut than Google does. Lastly, it's not the case that Google doesn't pay sub $100. They'll pay you ... but they'll pay you later and not when I get my big, regular, juicy, much-awaited, profitable, on-time monthly cheque. :)
>>Peculiar how Google prohibit publishers from disclosing any information regarding CTR, CPM and the like
I'll live with that.
What I'm upset about is that they didn't invite me for an interview :(
I wonder if they picked the biggest publishers, or a representative sample across the board. Anyone guess?
Never mind - as long as they don't forget me when it comes to sending the cheques....
