CTR Way Down - Political Ads Might The Cause

My CTR has been down recently so I looked at my site from multiple geo-locations and saw a bunch of political ads.

Example: Looking at the site from Las Vegas showed a huge Harry Reid ad. 336x280 with only a single ad listed in the ad box.

I've turned off "interest-based" ads a long time ago. (cleared browser cache too before checking). I have no clue what Harry Reid has to do with Sports (one of my websites) or Health and Depression (another site).

Anyway, I turned off "Politics" in the Ad Review Center under Adsense Setup (didn't even know this setting was there). That seemed to help a bit.

I just wanted to warn people if their CTR seemed off. Check for all these political ads that have NOTHING to do with your content.

Counting the days until the election is over so the political ads will stop! Makes me not want to vote.

Dunno about political adverts, but I am seeing an increase of fat reducing adverts again. Not seen them on my site though.

I just had a look at my Adsense CP and noticed that the Political category only accounts for 1% of both earnings and impressions for me.

How can I turn off some categories? I do not see such section under "Ad Review Center"

My CTR is fine, normal. My EPC has been the one horribly low starting 6 days ago. I'm getting between 2 to 15 cents per click down from 50-70 cents average. Imps have gone nowhere but up.
